I just scheduled a service center visit for the alignment, but as you can see from the attached pics our front passenger tire has worn down pretty badly compared to the other 3. What’s the play? Replace the one tire or bite the bullet and replace all 4? Pics attached of all 4.
Edit: 20k miles...
I’ve never parked so poorly in my life when backing into a space as I do in the R1S. The picture always shows me over one line or the other, but they aren’t accurate/reflective of my actual location in the spot (seems to be off by an inch or two).
If only we had side mirrors that tilt down in...
As I was uninstalling one of the bolts to install my running boards it simply kept on twisting (was going lefty loosely the whole time). In order to get it to bite I put some angled pressure on it, but now it’s coming out crooked. Any thoughts/suggestions. Assuming I’ll strip the heck out of it...
Cars were stacked relatively tight at the delivery center so I didn’t do an inspection of any sort…rolled the dice and will check it out soon.
And of course one of my buddies who isn’t an EV fan had to tweak the picture I sent…I’m into sophomoric humor and chuckled :)
Long story short I know there are questions about how things will pan out in 2023 tax incentives, but for the purposes of finalizing my order I'm currently at EXACTLY $80,000.00 and signed the preorder agreement last year when it was offered by Rivian (put my reservation in April 2019).
I'm...
If hypothetically I didn’t want/need my car 1H 2023, which is my current estimate (though the site may provide better insights soon), but wanted to keep my LE configuration and pricing, how would I spec out my R1S to push delivery out further? For instance, insisting on Ocean Coast with white...
I was surprised that, being an April 2019 R1S LE preorder holder that lives a few miles from the Irvine HQ, I’m out at 1H 2023 for my delivery estimate.
Has there been any discussion that I’ve missed around expectations that they might speed things up materially with these changes?
Any thoughts?
Especially given how thirsty the Rivians are.
Perhaps only a token gesture given the price hike, but super price sensitive people could use it to defray the increased cost, while those that don’t value it as much could ignore it.
I’m still waiting for my home charger to get installed, but in...
Thought I'd take the liberty of sharing a great book that could be timely, especially with all the TSLA comparisons I'm read about. The book is called "How to Think About Money", and beyond the basics that many people know about it really gets into the relationship we have with our money.
If...
…but I was a bit bummed to see how hard he was on Rivian in this one. I will admit the potential issues he circled with fit and finish (especially on the rear lower and hood area) are a bit disconcerting. Hope it was just a photo perspective issue…
As I've been thinking more and more about it, I'm thrilled where the pricing came in for the R1S, but want a sanity check from this (albeit biased) board. I originally thought I'd be canceling my R1A reservation since I was certain the first ones would require $100k+ optioning...and obviously I...
I know it's apple and oranges, but I'm suspecting the first batch of R1S's will be similar to, if not more than, the Black Label PHEV that comes in around $90k fully loaded. I've been eyeing it for a long time, and sat in a Black Label (not PHEV) at Fashion Island, and it is freaking nice...
