I've had the same issue with my R1T LE since a couple of updates ago. My fix - until they fix the software - is to tap the HVAC control and then tap a saved vent profile , A or B, which restores my vent settings. I still have to also tap the seat and steering wheel heaters first thing every day.
Am I the only one who wants an odometer on the driver screen? Like every car build between 1950 and 2010. So little space required, and so useful for so many things.
My personal experience with a 2014 Model S was 110k miles with no battery problems, then rapid degradation over about a week until it was undrivable. Tesla offered a new battery for $15k, but I found a shop in Portland that replaced the single bad module for $3k, and now the car has almost-new...
If you really want the satellite service - like I did with Sirius - just buy an XM receiver with Bluetooth and transfer your lifetime plan to that. You'll have to find a way to power it (there are multiple options, like an OBD-II adapter), and mount the antenna on the roof, and just like that...
Maybe they don't really want to sell a lot of cars right now? They could be building inventory before the worst tariffs hit, planning to sell the vehicles later when all car prices have risen..
I have almost the opposite problem, where it takes a lot of turning of the thumb wheel to get it loud enough to hear. I'm usually set to at least 12 in the city and 17 on the highway. I need at least 20 to feel the base. And no, my hearing is just fine.
Oh, this is a launch edition R1T.
I'm not...
For my R1T Gen 1, I got the Yakima Skyrise Medium tent from REI.
https://www.rei.com/product/250985/yakima-skyrise-medium-tent
It's the same tent that Rivian is currently selling for the R1S, but without the Rivian branding, and a lot cheaper.
A few years ago Rivian advertised that tent for...
Seems like a great idea. I clicked on the link and got what appears to be the same thing but not stainless. Did you select some option that got you to stainless, or have they changed the product?
It HAS happened to me. I couldn't figure out what was causing it until one day I was sitting in the car in our driveway and our cat hopped up on the hood, walked over the roof and down to the bed rail where it stepped on the release button as it walked to the back of the truck. That's why it was...
Tim, that's perfect! I checked out the Wallbox site, and they offer simple pay-per-charge via a QR code that works for anyone who wants to charge, and several options for designated users like tenants.
That's very cool, and I think that it could be useful for landlords of small complexes. For larger numbers of users, I suspect the landlord would quickly tire of billing and collecting the charging fees. If you do get this ready for prime time, let us know. I'm sure my brother would be...
I had a similar problem, where the camera image froze until the infotainment was reset. Fixed quickly by Rivian service by replacing the camera. No problems since then.
