Rivian is trying to say that the rear brake caliper was retracted or pushed back too far which caused the system not to be able to reengage the calipers.
They say that I “shouldn’t have pushed the caliper pistons too far in”. Nonsense.
To me it sounds like their SW limits are inside of the...
I wasn’t aware of and didn’t use RiDE SW for anything.
releasing the parking brake doesn’t use RiDE. That option is available already. What additional option is available for changing brake pads in RiDE?
Nothing works. It is unresponsive. No hard reset. No shifting in any gear. Nothing. It’s just sitting idle constantly ON. Luckily I had charged it to 76% but it’s already down to 70% just sitting there.
Rivian says they have it scheduled for Monday evening so hopefully the charge lasts...
I brought my R1T to my mechanic (130 miles away) and together we changed the front and rear brake pads. We did put it into service mode and unlocked the parking brake while doing the rear axle.
After all that now it just says “Not parked yet” and big red blinking error, attached and I can’t...
My install keeps failing (R1T) every night. Error message doesn’t give any information. “Install failed” I have also forced a reset without success.
Helpdesk said they will force it last night, no success. Anyone have the same issue?
Well like I previously mentioned the tire shop messed up and put the LT road E rated tires so I can clearly feel the heavier and stiffer ride on bumps etc.
Noise level is just as much as the Pirellis were, I mean they’re AT tires. I’m seriously contemplating just getting some road tires like...
I’m leaning towards swapping as well. Rotational mass of an extra 12 lbs on each wheel will have a pretty significant impact. I suppose this gives me an opportunity to drive for a few days and test both combinations at their expense.
This is what my tires looked like at 36.5k miles. So I thought it’s about time I get new rubber especially with the Boston weather. I’ll have to admit, driving these slicks all summer was fun AF.
so this morning I dropped off the R1T at the tire shop and ordered the 275/60/20 XL 116S which...
But the LTX Platinums ARE available in 275/65/20

Completed my trip. The chargers at the North Conway Grand Hotel deliver 11kW and of the 4, only 2 were working. Luckily it was still 40s temps so my batteries were still somewhat efficient. I was able to plug in night and top up. There are a couple of other options for charging in the area...
