These look great! I picked up a set of the same tires last week but haven't installed them yet. Hopefully they improve on the OEM Scorpions without being too aggressive for decent on-road manners.
I jumped on this since I’m actively looking for new tires. I don’t have Amex but was able to see and use the 30% from Capital One. The 30% seemed too good, and I was expecting to have to argue with some customer service somewhere (Cap One? Tire Agent?) about it, but I received a confirmation...
It's the top in snow performance for a non-winter tire in Tyre Reviews testing. Depending on priorities it could be worth exploring further: https://www.tyrereviews.com/Article/2023-Best-All-Terrain-Tyres-In-Snow.htm
Pretty much the same timeline for me:
March '23 R1T delivery

Showed up at my door on 9/18/24 (socal to socal shipment)
I have a similar noise as well, most audible to me around 40-60mph. It sounds like maybe inverter noise or something generated by the power electronics. I mostly don't notice or think about it too much after having my truck for ~9mo/9k miles.
It's very subtle and I thought it could be my imagination, but soft feels better to me now. I really didn't like the overly floaty and borderline out of control feel of soft before, but now body motions feel more controlled. But, a small enough difference that it could just be in my head.
Same here after the 2023.14.0 update. I first tried a soft reset but that didn't fix it. Signing out from Alexa and back in fixed it for me.
I do have a strange (new?) issue with streaming music stopping when I switch into reverse and not resuming when back in drive.
With traditional manufacturers you are buying from the dealer, not directly from the manufacturer. Tesla has likely avoided major class action suits around autopilot since they also force arbitration.
I'm not an expert on this, but I think it's better to control the charging rate from the EV charging station side of things. The station can integrate with inverters and the panel meter to adjust the charging speed based on solar output and total load. Or at least this is the sales pitch from...
I'm interested. I tried to test out the truck on Black Mountain or Lusardi TT but the gates were closed a few weeks ago. Probably a good thing since I only have fix-a-flat kit.
Rivian finally broke me down. There was a launch green truck that matched up to my reservation so I jumped ship off the quad/max pack boat and snagged one. Supposedly it's ready now for delivery. 191XX VIN. Hopefully not somebody's lemon. LOL.
1/22 Max pack reservation holder here so I'm much further down the line. But can there be more that a few thousand of us out there?
Still holding out for now, at least until final details on the battery size, efficiency, and weight of the truck are available.
Am I the only one that is slightly skeptical that either Rivian's quoted 0-60 times or the hp ratings for the upcoming dual motor versions are correct? Using crude web calculators and assuming 7000lbs, the 840hp quad motor is estimated to have a 0-60 time of 3.1s. I estimated a 150lb weight...
"Auto industry lobbyists want the administration to interpret that provision to mean that cars purchased by leasing companies are commercial vehicles.
If that argument flies, and the Treasury Department indicated Thursday that it will, rental companies, ride-share services and leasing companies...
Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere, but the FAQ on the IRS website seems to seriously contradict the hope that having a binding agreement and taking taking delivery in 2023 will qualify for the rebate:
Purchase date vs. delivery date
If you entered a written binding contract to buy a...
