I've never been to a Rivian Space, but I've experienced Rivian service. If I had to buy a new car tomorrow, it wouldn't be a Rivian solely based on the service. When the truck works, it's great, but when there is an issue, it's maddening.
Like said above. "hope nothing goes wrong" Its a pain. Had a few mobile service visits. I think 3-4 mobile service visits. The first the tech was 7+ hours late. But every update was "30 min away" That was a fun day to waste. Another Tech was the 3-4 hours late. The seatbelt recall was...
I had service come replace the missing bolts in mine, but that was maybe a year ago? Who knows how Rivian service will handle it now. I also asked if I could buy the screws to keep extra/install myself but Rivian wouldn't sell them to me.
I agree with many others than in hindsight Rivian should have offered 500 kWh or 1000 kWh of free RAN to each owner. When Rivian first mentioned charging at the RAN in the Spring, I was in the same situation as many of the precious commenters - "Would have been nice if any RAN stations were...
reviving an old thread. Just noticed the same on my truck. 77% battery. Rare that the energy screen is up when I enter the truck. Was this a non-issue?
Interesting, I'm having the same issue, my truck was built in April of 22, but the onboard charger was replaced in the Fall of 22.
It hasn't happened often, once this evening and once a few weeks ago. These are the only instances I can recall.
Meadow of Dan, VA. I grew up in the area, until I left for high school the only stoplight in the county was on the football field (Drivers ed class was on the track with a mock intersection behind the end zone). Even to this day cell phone coverage and home internet access can be spotty...
Stopped by the Meadows of Dan site yesterday. Chargers are in the place. 6 RAN stations (1 for a trailer) and 2 waypoints.
Any information on the other Virginia BRP sites? I have a meeting in Winchester next month and was hoping the Roanoke and Front Royal stations would be available for...
Just 3 of the 6? That is interesting. I'f I recall, after it initially opened, only 3 of 6 worked then the entire station was shut down. A few weeks ago I stopped by and techs were working on the chargers (great guys appreciate the chat and information). They believed the issue was software...
Blowing Rock, NC is now showing as online on the app. I was a bit of nuisance this week to Rivian about this station. It just started to bug me that it worked, then it didn't. Not sure if it made a difference or not... but part of me wants to drive to Blowing Rock tonight just to finally get...
At least Circle K is doing something. Forgive me, but I"m a little salty today about RAN and membership. Per the last information I have, free RAN charging ends this month. I have yet to see a working RAN station (so close Blowing Rock, but I'm sure you will be back online May 1). Charlotte...
This is great news. I dowloaded the app and surprised to see active chargers in Boone (not Blowing Rock as originally stated, address is Blowing Rock Rd). Meanwhile the RAN installed before Super Bow Sunday has been turned off since the initial opening.
Also, Fancy Gap coming soon will be very...
I stopped by Blowing Rock earlier today just to see. Technicians were on site when I arrived. Super nice guys who have installed stations for both Rivian and Tesla across the country. Per their request, I stopped in after lunch to see if the stations were working. No such luck. They felt it...
Does anyone have more info on this station? It worked for maybe a week, and from everything I've read on plugshare is no longer working. I can't recall another RAN station having this issue.
I haven't had an opportunity to make it to Blowing Rock since these were installed.
Do you have more details? Location for original tweeter? The alleged Lighting incident as well? Do you know if the incidents happened at 150 or 350 stations?
I apologize if I missed this information earlier in the thread.
