I just had the same experience with my Tesla Model S. Was defrosting/pre-heating the car for 20 mins and then came out, cleared the snow and it cracked as I went to drive off. I had left a tiny bit of snow on the hood and it flew onto the bottom part of the warm windshield when I pulled...
Thanks for the pics, didnāt notice until now that the R3X seats are actually two-tone. Until now I had defended those 70ās puke colored seats as a nice nostalgic touch. But I never noticed the modern black headrests before. IMHO, doesnāt seem to go together:
(still love the look and feel...
I have a Tesla Tap mini that just failed recently. Same situation as you. Charger worked fine with the Tesla, but stopped charging the Rivian (red light) with the Tesla Tap mini. The Rivian charged fine elsewhere.
I tried the remedies recommended by Tesla Tap (oven on low heat to remove...
Hmmm, Iād be frustrated too. But the OP lost me at āPLEASE donāt buy this total piece of junkā.
Sounds like your car has issues, but a little perspective is required. Itās one car from a relatively new manufacturer. Should it have happened? No. Do you have a right to be upset? Absolutely...
That Chris guy pretty much mirrors my thinking/situation. I drive a model S, love the tech but hate the Tesla fanboys and how the company pretty much treats its customers as a necessary nuisance.
I stuck with Tesla because there were no other quality EVs (btw, why did all carmakers feel the...
Iād also add that the OP came on here with a vague rant, followed up with a similarly vague video with no contextā¦and then disappears. I get that they probably have better things to do and are under no obligation to answer forum questions, but what were they hoping for by taking the time to...
Yes, or use Cross Border Parcels. There are certainly ways to ātrickā Rivian into selling gear to their Canadian clients whoāve bought their vehicles. Am I the only one that sees the irony in having to do this???
?
OK sure, but then add something to your bag, prompts you to sign in to your account, then prompts you for a shipping addressā¦and drop downs only give you states and zip codes. No way to enter a Canadian address. So, yes, you can access by using the US site but you canāt order anything!
Youāve...
I half agree with you. They need to become profitable ASAP, but it shouldnāt have had to come at the expense of early adopters. The fact is that it almost always does, though - it happened with my Tesla and I fully expected it to happen with Rivian.
But letās be realistic, if Management were...
OK, Iāll preface this by saying that I love my R1S and expect my next vehicle (Tesla MS replacement) to be a R3. The initial purchase was ābumpyā to say the least but the Rivian team was great. No serious issues with the truck 10k kms in.
That said, service and support in Canada is a joke...
I have them, theyāre the best ones around IMHO. Iāve had Weathertech and Tuxmat in my cars. For the same price point Tuxmat fit better, offer better coverage, donāt warp like Weathertech do, and are so much easier to clean. Canāt speak to the other options.
There are already a few threads...
Iāve got both an MS and a R1S, and car pool daily in a MX. Theyāre all very different vehicles.
The MX is an absolutely fantastic minivan replacement, but really shouldnāt be compared to the R1S. The use cases are just different. The X is certainly more nimble and efficient but, then again...
Well, you learn something every day. Thank you.
So what youāre saying is that Rivian chose to use a jet turbine sound, which soundS more like a seized fan?!!! Who knew?!!!
Donāt know if this has been posted before (havenāt been able to find it if it has), but my R1S has a super loud fan (sounds like a jet engine!) at the front of the vehicle that comes on every time I shift into drive. Not on until it goes into drive and., interestingly enough, it shuts off very...
Yeah, installed mine yesterday too. Youāre right about showing the dirt (see pic after one drive), but they clean so much easier than other brands - my Weathertec ones on my other car are impossible to get clean unless you buy that $30 Weathertec cleaner.
As you mentioned, the coverage is...
Iād also go with a Tesla universal, and get an adapter like Tesla Tap (cheaper options on Amazon) for when you go on long trips (so that you can plug into Tesla destination chargers at hotels, etc).
I already had a Tesla charger at home and just got the Tesla tap - my āhome madeā Tesla...
Hey Nine_ā¦, you can get the cargo liner with or without the tailgate protector (they call it the bumper protector - C$60 option). If you buy it with the bumper protector, the cargo liner comes with the 4 rivets for the bumper protection to snap onto.
The first picture in my post is just the...
Beyond the price of the car and before the GST, I had an additional $3,089 in fees. The big ones were Destination Fee ($2,600) and Documentation Fee ($300), and then there were a bunch of smaller environmental and plating fees.
My total included a GST section, which was 13% on the total...
Very nice, which one is it and how well do the sides stay up? Most of the reviews Iāve read on similar ones complain about the suction cups coming unstuck. Have you found thatās the case?
