  1. Dual Motor All Purpose not smooth now

Installed the update over the weekend and on my commute to work today I felt like I was driving a new truck. Rear motor engagement is back to being almost unnoticeable and I actually think the overall transition from acceleration to regen is smoother as well. In addition to much smoother rear...
  2. Yet another wind noise thread, what has worked so far for me

There are a few different panels that overlap so you really just need to push/tap around and it will be obvious if something is loose. In one area the screws holding a panel were just loose and needed a quick tightening but in another location which was basically the long panel between the two...
  3. Yet another wind noise thread, what has worked so far for me

If you’re experiencing a buffeting noise at high speed and haven’t yet inspected the plastic trim panels underneath the vehicle I’d highly recommend it. What sounded like noise coming from my roof area was actually wind noise from loose plastic trim panels beneath the truck on my drivers side...
  4. Dual Motor All Purpose not smooth now

Dougfresh for whatever its worth it was a quick software fix that took less than 30 minutes for me. In the meantime as others have suggested use snow mode to keep both motors engaged in the mountains. I actually prefer it on the descent as well as it feels a bit more stable having both front and...
  5. Shelton?

Same - I recently had the wheel hub tightening service done at Shelton and had to call for scheduling as nothing was showing online but they got me in very quickly over the phone. I mentioned in another post that when I was waiting for my truck there were at least 4 Amazon drivers waiting for...
  6. Dual Motor All Purpose not smooth now

Thought it was worth mentioning that I had my dual motor in for the wheel hub tightening issue today at the Shelton, CT service center and asked them if they could look at the rear motor calibration as I was having the same rough engagement issue on the highway in AP mode as others. They had me...
  7. R1T $7500 Tax Return with binding purchase agreement/2022 Amended Tax Return

Just wanted to share the positive news that I finally received my full refund check plus interest almost exactly one year after submitting my 2022 amended return. Original submission date was 11/09/23 but the IRS website showed that it wasn’t “accepted” until 01/30/24 so depending on where you...
  8. Regenerative Braking Too Strong: Dealbreaker for Me?

This is definitely the most common issue when anyone drives my truck for the first time but I promise not only will you get used to one pedal driving quickly but you will learn to love it and your driving will be even smoother. When I drive our other ICE car now I’m always a little annoyed I...
  9. Tax Credit!!!!!!! WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Congrats and thanks for the positive update! I’m still waiting on my amended return as well but submitted a few months after you so fingers crossed I’m getting close.
  10. First Tow with New 2025 R1S Gen2

Sweet setup. Do you actually have electronically controlled trailer brakes on that teardrop though? Neither of my trailers have electronically controlled brakes so haven't had a chance to test the controller function out.
  11. $10 Bed Cargo Net for R1T

This is great thanks for sharing. Was hauling some brush over the weekend using an oversized tarp and wishing I had a fitted cargo net so perfect timing. Just ordered one myself.
  12. Buzzing fluffing sounds when driving above 80mph

OP - Great description- I’ve been nagged by a flapping/fluttering sound from the drivers side for a while now that I finally solved today. In my case the noise would start at around 45mph and stay fairly constant at any speed above that point. I was very confident that the source was coming from...
  13. Shelton Service Center, CT Closed?

Shelton SC “officially” opening September 6th for anyone who didn’t see the email blast today. Glad they finally sorted through the soft opening issues and are in full operation mode...
  14. Proximity lock set to "off" at home but it still locks and unlocks constantly

Just the outer steering wheels buttons (soft/infotainment reset) in my case fixed the issue on the second attempt in a location with a strong cell signal.
  15. Proximity lock set to "off" at home but it still locks and unlocks constantly

In a few cases reported here including my own the option to toggle proximity locking on/off at home was simply not available as a result of this bug. I traced this back to the fact that the software was also not recognizing any of my assigned keys nor home location so a reset was required.
  16. Battery pack warning!!

I posted about this yesterday on another similar topic but basically I had the same issue that popped up when my proximity locking at home started acting up. My issue was initially even more confusing because my truck wasn’t even showing me the option to disable proximity lock at home which lead...
  17. Proximity lock set to "off" at home but it still locks and unlocks constantly

Had the same issue today and it was initially even more confusing because my truck wasn’t even showing me the option to disable proximity lock at home which lead me to check my home location and key settings and neither were showing up correctly. I have terrible cell service at my house but I...
  18. Electrical Efficiency (how many miles/kWh are you achieving)

Just crossed the 5k mile mark and averaging 2.71 mi/kWh thus far. Performance DM Max Pack with 21s (aero covers removed) and manual tonneau. Recently did a road trip around New England with a lot of back-road driving in Maine and New Hampshire and that 1300 mile trip average 3.08 mi/kWh which I...
  19. Resolved - Suspension Degradation 19.04 Update

I had the same reaction on my first drive post update but it definitely smoothed out quickly and now I’m really happy with it. Given the adaptive nature of the new update which factors in things like payload I chalked it up to the new software taking some time to catch up.
  20. Rivians in hot weather -- experience / tips?

Anyone happen to know exactly where the interior cabin temperature sensor is located? The AC feels very sensitive to sun position while driving but I haven't been able to easily find the sensor location within the car.
