Is it though? I have never had a bad route in my Rivian, but my Tesla's over the years were ridiculous. It took nearly two years for Tesla's google maps to know about a new tunnel that the google maps app knew about after 2 days.
Just curious, any idea what the charging overhead is on a Leaf? I imagine it is lower than bigger EVs since it is a "dumb" charging system. I have a Volt that seemingly uses about 150w.
Not sure on the wind issue, but a 550w panel will never output its stated output. Assume 80% of that at best, so 440w max. And the charging system in the Rivian uses about 600w just to run the charging system, computers, etc (same with Tesla, so this is pretty standard for EVs). That's why the...
My understanding is most of those are used during driving. I believe the overhead during charging is partially due to the AC/DC conversion and needing to run the main computer system in the car whenever it is charging. If there was a way in the future to charge without the entire computer...
It seems I never took a pic of it, but it was literally a 50 amp HOM breaker (fairly universal) with solid strand 8 gauge wire going about 5 feet to a 50 amp external outlet that I could then plug a Tesla mobile charger into (or Rivian charger, etc). It required taking the electric panel cover...
Other than the car typically not connecting to a Canada cell network for up to 15 minutes after crossing (it tries to stay on the home network in US as long as possible), it works great. We take our R1S to Vancouver a couple of times a month.
Are you parked or not moving when it is 15 degrees high? That's the only explanation that would make sense, and no thermometer will be accurate sitting right above hot pavement in those circumstances.
None will be accurate 1-4 feet above pavement....ever. Even when driving 70 MPH, it will read high because of the heat coming off the road surface during a sunny day.
Can't type in an address on the screen while in drive.
Can't use my phone while in drive.
Slow to connect between the phone and car every time you get in (and based on my experience in rental cars, it randomly fails to connect and then there's no maps/GUI for minutes to start the drive)
I don't...
It took me too long to finally offload the last of it, and I must say, I feel relieved to no longer be concerned about what stupid thing Musk will do or say next. Every time I watch an interview with RJ, it could not be more diametrical opposed compared to Musk. It's such a relief to have a sane...
Ah, I thought you were the OP who posted about the charger in my first screenshot. Sorry. That said, your statement that the prices are higher than what the other poster put is absolutely wrong.
It is 40 cents/kW at the Yakima charger with a membership which is 25% less than the non-member...
That is not correct again. That is the non-member rate which nobody in their right mind would pay when the membership fee is recouped with less than a single charge.
The max price in the Tesla app with a subscription is 61 cents/kW. Lowest is 42 cents. Charging just half your battery covers the subscription for the month and you save from then on. It's a no brainer.
I could not agree more....which is why I have sold 80% of my TSLA shares this year that I purchased nearly 10 years ago. As an investor, I should not need to worry about the CEO doing/saying something stupid for no reason that will hurt me financially. Now, how is my BA stock doing? ?
