Colorado driver on the SL 275/65âs - about 1300 miles on them in town and in the mountains. Efficiency is about the same if not a little better?
Comfort, handling and noise in all conditions are immensely better than the OEMs ever were. Snow traction is greatly improved as well - so much so...
There was a time when they pulled the auto tonneau since v1âs were sticking and only offered the manual option with no preview. Took a year or so to deliver too. It was a risk I willfully took but Iâm still a little salty the auto came back and was offered as $500 upgrade vs the $1800 manual...
Second this!
When they pulled Gen1 and I was only offered the manual cover, this is what I was hoping Iâd get - auto type cover but without the motor operation.
I have the manual and while it works, the plastic edges will chip/break one of these days. Thereâs space to make a retractable one!
Went through this disassembly this week, even after the service center did their fix last year.
After getting the grille up, I could only unplug the center speaker - the phone speakers, even with the center pin depressed, wouldnât budge with the force I was comfortable with. Speaking of force...
Just had Toyoâs (20â AT3 SLâs) put on this week at the Discount Tire on Colorado Blvd near DU. Zero issues and the manager said they are doing 1 Rivian every day or so. Oddly, they use 4 big jacks and their own pucks, not a lift. Was in and out within an hour with 5 tires installed.
Very happy...
Had some faith on my early â23 that their manual option yet to be revealed would be the power tonneau configuration minus the power.
Mine hasnât broken and am a little salty that the power (v2) upgrade was $500 for some time this year when it came back. ?
Would love CNC aluminum(?) grippy steering wheel selector wheels. Hopefully there's a relatively easy DIY disassembly of that part of the steering wheel.
R2 and likely a gen 3 R1 will update the steering wheel the fancy haptic wheels but these rubbery ones arenât great.
I wonât baby it⊠Hopefully someone machines pins and makes the rails out of Delrin. Wishful thinking!
Still bitter the auto-tonneau option was taken away when I configured. Nice that itâll be an option again but theyâre 0-2 with tonneau designs so far and out of the gear shop, itâs limited...
Got mine today (Denver, 11/8-13 window) and just put it on. Packaging was sufficient- rubbery foam blocks and an oversized box. UPS was also kind to it. Curious if they changed hardware on the latch pins. All in, a bit pricey at $1800 but itâs under the car warranty vs gear shop.
Throwing in my experience - had a cycling compressor that would only stay on for <5s at a time, then remain off for 30s+. Would never cool the car once heat soaked.
Submitted a ticket on Monday, and was in the shop Tuesday morning and checked out that afternoon. Apparently, as previously...
I think @Rivdog may be advocating against the Range Industries option. If I re-read with âIf you have Yakima accessories, Iâd definitely (re)consider the Range Industries optionâ. In short, it sounds like it doesnât play well with Yakima accessories. That being said, Iâm sure the Range Mount...
Holy smokes. Puts the Range system in the âwell, why not?â category.

I just wanted these to mount my Thule ski racks on above the soon to be had tonneau coverâŠ
Ah, I hope insurance comes through for you and you donât have to sell them. Thatâs rough, hope youâre doing alright.
Knew I kept a dormant FB account for a reason - thanks for the tip.
