I travel on my R1T frequently to Baja California, primarily Ensenada. (I ended up installing a level 2 charger at my parents' home in Ensenada). Charging is limited to mostly Level 2 chargers. The only Level 3 charger is the Tesla in Ensenada, and it's not compatible with Rivian. The PlugShare...
LOL, exactly! Don't give me hope, my wallet will dislike you.
I think that is a better approach. I may just swing by the Rivian Service Center and have them inspect the truck.
Like most of you, I've been waiting a couple of years for the PTC, and I'm disappointed to hear from Rivian Service that my R1T is not eligible. I took delivery of my R1T in late March of 2023, with VIN in the 199XX.
My original configuration did include the PTC and was removed a few weeks...
The OEM Pirelli tires lasted 32K on my truck, and I could have extended to $35K, but a gash on one of the tires forced me to change the whole set. The noise from the Pirelli tires was really loud. While I had ordered the Toyos for replacing them, I ended up buying the Wranglers, and I was amazed...
Yikes! I haven’t experienced that long of a wait time for San Diego. I haven’t needed major repairs though and the mobile service has been able to take care of things. My experience with San Diego Rivian. Service Center has been great. Usually it takes a couple of weeks to get service since I’m...
Ditto on the TeslaTap. I've been using the TeslaTap Mini 80 for one year with zero issues on my Tesla Level 2 home charger (NACS connector).

It appears to be an issue. I had mine repaired by Rivian Mobile service at no charge. It appears something get in the way of the sensors around the hinge area. It appeared to be a quick fix. Unfortunately I was unable to see what the technician corrected.
I'm in California and received my bill reflecting a 50% increase. While I'm disappointed with the increase for sure, I'm more disappointed with the lack of communication from Nationwide on the reasons for the increase. I reached out to my Rivan Insurance Advisor, and here is what he shared...
This is interesting. It would be the same approach with the spare tire. I hope they go this route. I originally ordered the truck with the automatic tonneau, and Rivian removed it from the order due to the issues. I then added the manual tonneau cover but decided to cancel the order based on the...
Thanks for the tip, guys. I ordered the tire yesterday without knowing they would honor the price of the spare tire when I ordered the truck in January 2021. I called them back today, and they applied the discount. They indicated the cost would be $861 for the 20" A/T Bright. They will also have...
The portable charger on a NEMA 14-50 connector will probably give you around 6-7KWH charging which on the R1T translates to about 10 miles an hour. Just make sure do the installation the outlet using #4 or #6 wire gauge to support the 60 AMP/240V when you are ready to change it out. I wired a...
