yup, did that research myself as well. The Tesla j1772 was the best and at a “premium” of $550 when I bought. The Rivian charger is at even more of a premium and wasn’t as well engineered as the Tesla charger. Then there’s a bunch of very adequate chargers in the $300-400 range between Autel...

Unless you have street side parking and are also charging, then the charge port location makes sense. I still think front driver side is the best location, towing and all.
BUT, more importantly, I do think there needs to be a rethink in how EVs charge via L3. The Tesla supercharger worked...
Not worth it IMO. The risk of bending that metal latch and having to get that replaced just seems like it would be a straight up headache. Also likely not to be covered by warranty due to location and it would take an act of God to bend that part without damaging anything else in the vicinity.
