    Unless you have street side parking and are also charging, then the charge port location makes sense. I still think front driver side is the best location, towing and all. BUT, more importantly, I do think there needs to be a rethink in how EVs charge via L3. The Tesla supercharger worked...

    I am in this same boat. I do feel like Tesla with the Model S and X suffered similar service center issues until the Model 3 really got going.

    Not worth it IMO. The risk of bending that metal latch and having to get that replaced just seems like it would be a straight up headache. Also likely not to be covered by warranty due to location and it would take an act of God to bend that part without damaging anything else in the vicinity.
