I was talking about Google Maps, even though they own Waze, they treat how it works differently in Google Maps. You can report incidents in Google Maps at any time, just cannot see the reports if not navigating.
The Google maps in GM vehicles have had this feature for over two years. There are two requirements, must be logged into your Google account, and must be navigating. It works the same way on phones.
Not true. My GM vehicles with Google built in has this feature. To have this data you must be logged into your Google account and must be navigating. GM vehicles can also install Waze, and use it without navigating. You still have to log into your Waze account.
I never feel that I lose range running the AC, it is running all the time to cool the battery. Turning off the AC to the passengers saves nothing. I go Phoenix (far west valley, so ~140 miles) to Tucson at least once a year and have done it in 5 different EVs. One charging stop for the round...
GM does hands free towing, they only disable automatic lane changes. They also have a great trailer blind spot camera view, based on inputting the trailer dimensions into the towing app. It paints a big red box on the road where the trailer will be during a lane change.
All the major car makers use AT&T, otherwise they would be out of business, their service sucks. GM upgraded their AT&T service from 4G to 5G in 2024, not sure why this is newsworthy.
These were the two main reasons I traded my R1T in on an Escalade IQ, software bugs and ADAS. The adaptive cruise control became unusable for me, could not pass a large vehicle without disengaging the system. I quit using it for road trips because of this.
GM software is very solid and of...
I have APS, and because of that stupid demand charge, I end up at .11 average, even though my peak usage is about 6% of the total. Then I have a $100 per month of adjustment fees. It is crazy.
GM sells a TT-30 pigtail for their portable adapter that will do 24A at 120V.
Since this plug is 120V there is no need to dial down the charge rate in the truck, it should default to 12A.
