Posted this in the other R1T color renderings thread too -- I previously saw a comment on Instagram from Scaringe that they'd be launching with 8 color options to choose from.
You lucky guys! I won't be there but looking forward to seeing your pics, videos and info from the event!
I'm hoping they show the R1T and R1S at the NY show in different colors, or release a next round of info (detailed pricing, production date, etc.)
I love that Scaringe said that it will be "bananas" in how the rally model will perform. The R1T and R1S performance figures are already staggering, if the rally model is bananas compared to those, it's going to be :surprised:
R1R would make total sense for a name.
That is really cool. I always get a kick out of what patent applications reveal, like Rivian's auxiliary battery design posted recently.

That's definitely a vehicle ripe for some EV competition. It doesn't even have any direct ICE competition. Upcoming Bronco revival is supposed to be competition but remains to be seen if it really turns out to be.
Since Rivian has billed itself as a maker of "adventure" vehicles, a rugged...
I don't know if sedan makes sense? Their sales are trending down and predicted to stay that way. Crossover sales are trending up so makes more sense than a sedan.
I'd personally like to see a hot hatch Rivian (like Civic Type R). Could be really fun in performance and styling.
