Update - decided to return the vehicle under 7 days / 1k miles RIVIAN policy.
I hope my case is the only exceptional bad case from R1 shop order /delivery.
Took delivery last week with several ticketed fixable items for Nov. appointment.
Advised to report any new item to be fixed in next...
The last digits of VIN are 89X in RC color. My guide did not share the actual CS location in CA where the car has been delivered / preformed the inspection..
As long as this car has not been involved any physical repair like re-paint / body work, I will accept the delivery.
A honest explanation...
No issue with July VIN. Just not having clear reason for the rejection during delivery in CA is my issue. It has passed about 1+ month and want to know what has been repaired / corrected while sitting there.
Looks like I’d better pay more attention on the checklist on the delivery day as others doing.
Just worrying about the aftermath like refund process/rematching VIN if I do not accept the car.
UPDATE
If your R1 shop order vehicle from other SC not from IL Factory, you will have 99% chance getting the rejected vehicle by whatever reason by the initial order holder.
I took a delivery(Yes I accepted it via App) but returning it in the end.
