Rivian continues to miss out on revenue
Owner of an R1T since 9/2022. No breakdowns or maintenance items in 1 1/2 years. I've never had that in the dozen ice vehicles I've owned in my lifetime which included 6-8 brand new ones.- Rickmc

I also think it would be a bad idea to throw on a monthly fee for what we already have. No one wants to "rent" the vehicle they just paid north of 80k for $x per month. Extra services like streaming Netflix/youtube etc would be fine as that would be an individual's choice. I bought a 2022 Ram...- Rickmc

I hate when I pull up to this...
The chargers in my original post are free so that wouldn't work. It basically requires basic common sense. One commenter above said "Bad design, you'll never get someone to dirty their hands to coil it up". Well then they shouldn't partake in the free charging if they are too good to touch... -

I try and bite my tongue whenever I can but this has been brewing daily when I see it and finally came across a culprit in the act! I did size up the situation and new that I had 60lbs of lean muscle on the guy so physical confrontation wasn't a worry and I knew I wouldn't let it escalate on... -

Being a Rivian owner myself, I do wish there were convenient charging opportunities everywhere I go but the key here is Permission. You owe it to the owner to ask. Assuming you can just bring the tools to enable yourself to take electricity home with you in your battery or to use it for day... -

2 free Volta chargers by my gym so every day I pull up and if it's open, I grab a charge while I workout. This really makes me despise many EV drivers as I feel they are entitled aholes with no respect. They take for free and can not be bothered to coil the cord back up and some like this...- Rickmc

Charging behavior - stops 1% before set point and doesn't maintain charge
Has anyone noticed the charging behavior in that the vehicle stops charging 1% prior to the setpoint? You set it to 70% and in the morning you are at 69%. You set it to 75%, it's 74% when you go out to it. I am guessing that there are fractions behind the scene and it's stopping at 69.5%...- Rickmc

Rivian needs to update software fix for backup camera freezing while backing out of garage (going from dark to bright lighting)
Since there are those that chime in that it "never happens to me", I'll add my chime in that it happens to me EVERY morning I back out of my garage. I have to completely stop the vehicle while in reverse and wait for it to come back to life as I am inching past my wife's lexus in the driveway... -

Camera View staying on after backing out and then shifting to Drive forward?
Easy, Always turn the camera off and go back to last non-camera view once vehicle reaches X mph in drive. Maybe that's user settable or maybe it's just something like 20 mph -

Backup camera glitching every morning
Same here, camera freezes up for like a full second and then resumes. This has been happening since about 2 updates ago. I just figured it would work itself out after another update or two but I'm now on .46 and it's still there...- Rickmc

21" tread replacement
For me, I have 5 tires (4 on the ground and a spare) so when I swap to 20's, I need to purchase 5 of everything, not just the 4 on the ground. If I wait until I'm about to purchase 4 new 21" pirellis, yes, it would be the cost of all 5 tires/wheels/tpms - $900 (4 21" pirellis I don't have to...
