I’m in.
Almost bought the buttons for my Tesla, but sold the car instead.
After having cars with almost no buttons for 7 years, I miss them a bit and would appreciate some shortcuts.
Funny Markus hasn’t come across another EV with the NACS port yet. Maybe it’s Canada that has a few before the US does. With all the trade stuff I know the Kia EV9 is only just getting the NACS while Canada has had them on since April. And I’m under the impression some other Kias have...
Sooo, long story short, I have no idea how to link to another thread.
but if you search “ Aftermarket 6X9 subwoofer experiment in a 2023 R1T “
you will find someone who did a 6x9 swap.
edit: I added the link below.
There is someone who did a 6x9 swap a couple of years ago with an amp.
My recollection is they did do some cutting inside the box.
I will try to find the link.
Have a Tesla universal.
it has built in redundancy to the point that we just picked up a new 2026 Kia EV9 and it has the Tesla port on it.
Your vehicle now may not have the NACS, but future ones will. And they are coming soon!
I put on an exosheild wrap in the fall after replacing my first windshield and seeing a lot of posts like yours. So far no cracks, but no major road trips yet either, but I’m hopeful it will at least repel small stuff unlike the stock untreated windshield.
I think this hits the nail on the head pretty well.
Pure ICE options are drying up, and hybrids are becoming the new base model.
My next door neighbors are the type that doesn’t care about engine, but want a luxury car and a truck. So they ended up with a hybrid Lexus and a hybrid F150.

a bolt holding something together usually works well, sometimes it’s good to scratch a little paint off where the bold would normally meet the chassis to get a better ground.
I never liked tapping my own ground as I didn’t always know what was on the other side, so good to go with something out...
How much was the powder coating? I’m very interested in these wheels, but definitely am in love with the bronze.
Hoping to order soon so I have wheels for winter.
@SlideGuy Sounds like a stressful journey you had! Were you on the 20” wheels? I’ve heard the sidewall can be a bit weak in the scorpions. Part of the reason I grabbed the spare.
Thinking that when I get around to it, I’ll top up in chilliwak (coming from North Van area) just so I have as...
that’s about the most I’ve gotten on about any car I’ve owned before needing new. And I usually run a set of winter tires as well. (I need to start buying cars that are less performance oriented)
My rivian is costing about double what my old car cost me.
To be fair, it was a model 3 and about 2x as efficient. This wasn’t unexpected.
Where we live, we would be paying equivalent of $5.57 for premium fuel in a nice SUV or truck. Meanwhile, we are paying an equivalent of about 0.11c...
where have local BCers taken their trucks off roading? I want to get to the Sloquet hot springs, but I haven’t seen anyone with a Rivian post that they’ve attempted. I want to try, but might rent a generator as a backup plan until I feel more confident off-road.
Anyone done ramp rock?
Any...
I was debating a conversion plate to make it a 6.5” round. I know I’d be losing some area, but I’d be getting more options.
Nice that you found a 6x9 to try out.
did you try running it off the stock amp first just to see how well it could push a beefier magnet?
