There is someone who did a 6x9 swap a couple of years ago with an amp. My recollection is they did do some cutting inside the box. I will try to find the link.

Have a Tesla universal. it has built in redundancy to the point that we just picked up a new 2026 Kia EV9 and it has the Tesla port on it. Your vehicle now may not have the NACS, but future ones will. And they are coming soon!

Had front left replaced and the new one sounds worse then the old.

I put on an exosheild wrap in the fall after replacing my first windshield and seeing a lot of posts like yours. So far no cracks, but no major road trips yet either, but I’m hopeful it will at least repel small stuff unlike the stock untreated windshield.
