Most cars with CarPlay have okay/poor infotainment , they use CarPlay as a poor excuse to not build better infotainment.
I would rather have a company focus on building a great infotainment than a mix of CarPlay/their own.
There are third party options for CarPlay devices I think

I’ve been looking at the router usage of my Rivian and hoping that it starts downloading. It connects and only pulls 20-30kbps.
I requested for Dolby atoms and Apple Music on repeat. On Reddit and via Feedback. They finally did it and I still don’t have the update. Such a shame!
Most folks who are inclined towards stealing are looking for a joy ride(that makes a lot of noise), steal to use it for other crimes or steal for parts.
They generally are more interested in non-EVs they are heavily biased towards gas vehicles that are know to be fast or parts that are...
I think it makes sense why they haven’t enabled streaming services yet. They are currently paying for LTE. They’ll probably launch streaming services and start charging for LTE at the same time.
But yes, it’s weird that they released a single video to tease video streaming capabilities.
The kicker is they don’t do OTA update, you’ll have to go to the dealership when you get a notification for an update. Btw, I did find it comfortable to ride and drive( than MY) and it has massaging seats too. Take it for a test drive.
It has wireless carplay and wireless charging. It seamlessly switches to CarPlay so that’s good. But the CarPlay maps doesn’t calculate charging stops. You’ll either have to stick inbuilt map(which is not great, old German vehicle style map) or use ABRP offline. Driving is fun, we got Pro S and...
DCFC send a lot of current going through the cable and it warms/heats the cable in the process. If the cable gets too long, they’ll have to run a liquid cooling line(like most non-NACS) to cool down the copper cables. Tesla got around by keep the supercharging cable very short.
Just a side...
I don’t think the outlet in R1 is ideal for the setup you have in mind. Not sure if Rivian would work with a J1772 V2L adapter. If it does then you can use it to draw upto 5-10kW and have everything running simultaneously.
Another option would be F150 lightning, that has 7.5kW port in the bed...
