Took almost 3 weeks and a few unanswered phone calls/voicemails left then randomly we got a text asking if we were trying to reach a guide. Within 30 minutes our configuration was updated to the 20" AT!
Customer support was the on that said locked in to us. We confirmed our configuration similarly to you but don't have shop access. Our status is "Processing Estimate", this is what I see when I login.

We put around 25k miles on our cars every year so it would be ideal to not be replacing tires every year (or more). I understand having to replace them more often than our other vehicles because it's a heavy vehicle but was hoping to not only get 15k miles out of a $1,700 set of tires, as many...
I said a non OEM replacement, meaning a different tire than what came with the vehicle (there currently are no other options as we've discovered and has been pointed out to me many times).
Apparently our fault for not trolling the forums when I joined, and hunting down the tire spec to discover...
I was NEVER talking about the tire that comes with the car having any warranty, which I've tried to clarify multiple times for you. I was ALWAYS talking about the lack of replacement options being any good since they are the same as the OEM tire. Please reread my posts and you'll see that.
Yes...
OEMs do come with factory treadwear but beyond that you can purchase a tire that fits the wheel which has a treadwear warranty. The only replacement option available for the 21" has no treadwear. But idk why I'm bothering responding.
? Good for you.
And I'm not looking for an AT tire, I'm looking for something that will last more than 15k miles and has a tread warranty.? Guess that's my bad for assuming Rivian wouldn't default to a tire that has neither of those qualities.
I didn't have any reason to believe that the default tires on the vehicle were completely custom and the only option available or I certainly would not have went with the default. It seems shady at best for them to not be forthcoming. I'm not used to the idea that you're totally locked into a...
A temporary guide is actually a great idea, I might suggest that to them when they reach out because it was pretty surprising/impersonal to find out our guide is OOO from an auto text response when we reached out.
Spoke to CS today and she said they actually removed our shop access after configuring. CS said that it was a policy change that they made due to "issues with manufacturing" with people changing their configurations post lock in.
Quite frustrated with the experience at this point as the wheels...
Has anyone successfully changed their R1S configuration after lock in?
We locked in about a month ago in early October and recently realized that we'd rather have the 20" AT wheels that we can swap the tires with non OEM tires in the future. Our guide is out of office till early December so we...
I got some information this morning on my situation with the R1 shop. It sounds like they opened it up so we could order an R1T if we want but we missed the cutoff (by 5 days) for seeing R1S availability because we reserved on June 5 2022. Pretty annoying if you ask me but I get that they want...
