They made that mistake with the R1 and ended up with pricegate - increasing the price on reservation holders, and then rolling back the decision because people were canceling. I think it’s the right call to wait on pricing until they are much closer to actual production and deliveries when they...
I have this exact same issue for my rear left window. App always shows it as open even though it's physically closed, and I get the error message every time I press the close windows button (it does actually work though in closing all windows, just throws out an error after and shows that one...
I might be an outlier here but just ran the numbers for my 2022 Launch Edition R1S - only 7k miles on it. Got offered $70k! I mean that's pretty bonkers. Like, good bonkers - right? Edit: the caveat is that I had pre-hike pricing so only paid 77.5k for it.
I don't know how else to respond to this graph except: "wooow, what a cute picture honey! let's get it up on the fridge right away"
Edit: to state the obvious, that's directed at the author of the article, not @NY_Rob :D.
Also, I would love for this to actually happen because I'm currently...
Just for kicks I disconnected and reconnected my wi-fi. Nothing happened ...
... until now, a couple of hours later! Just got the prompt to download on my app. Thank you, friend.
Just hit 7k miles and thought I'd get a "head start" on scheduling my 7.5k mile service. ZERO appointments available at Bellevue, WA. I don't even see the outlandish options like December etc. Just no availability period. Agree that it is a function of more and more Rivians on the road in this...
I voted "yes" first, then read the responses, then changed my vote :D.
I thought I would upgrade if incentivized but like so many others it would take a massive incentive to just match the deal we have. Pre-hike pricing, free wheel upgrade with launch edition, and OG tax credit. Even with all...
Yup agree, Qi2 might have come out a bit too late to be worked in to production. Understandable but still a missed opportunity. Fingers crossed for Gen 3 :D
Isn't that kind of the point @jdubea is making? If there already exists a super easy solution (i.e. MagSafe or more recently Qi2) that is non-reliant on the surface material of the pad, Rivian should have incorporated it into the updated version, and by not doing so it's a missed opportunity?
The s00nish ones can accommodate either MagSafe or Anker's MagGo Qi2 chargers, but you buy them separately. The Anker ones support Android, but you'll probably want to look up specifics for your phone's compatibility with Qi2. I went with the Ankers based on @Sojhinn 's suggestion that they have...
Thanks, this is helpful. I still decided to go with the s00nish option because I am realizing that magnetic positioning / MagSafe is a dealbreaker for me. But this is still great news for those who want to upgrade - more options is always a good thing.
You're right, I guess I should have been clearer in that post and referred to it as the benefit and convenience of magnetic positioning in general instead of MagSafe. I don't think the Gen2 pad has magnetic positioning, does it?
