I might be an outlier here but just ran the numbers for my 2022 Launch Edition R1S - only 7k miles on it. Got offered $70k! I mean that's pretty bonkers. Like, good bonkers - right? Edit: the caveat is that I had pre-hike pricing so only paid 77.5k for it.

Isn't that kind of the point @jdubea is making? If there already exists a super easy solution (i.e. MagSafe or more recently Qi2) that is non-reliant on the surface material of the pad, Rivian should have incorporated it into the updated version, and by not doing so it's a missed opportunity?

The s00nish ones can accommodate either MagSafe or Anker's MagGo Qi2 chargers, but you buy them separately. You're right, I guess I should have been clearer in that post and referred to it as the benefit and convenience of magnetic positioning in general instead of MagSafe. I don't think the Gen2 pad has magnetic positioning, does it?
