I have never ‘owned’ a leased vehicle, so I don’t understand how leasing works including the pros & cons. Can you guys please explain why I should consider leasing vs buying my future R1T? Thanks much!

Personally, I would prefer a LOUD horn instead of a camping speaker that adds cost, weight, & may never be used by us since we finally gave up camping 2 years ago. I‘d rather Rivian sell it as an after market item instead of including it with the truck.

And as I asked the forum before, what happens in a few months when Rivian stops installing the tracks on trucks unless the order includes the manual tonneau cover? This is my concern because our configuration (dual motor, standard pack) will not be produced for at least a year.

So if the cable is darn sensitive & not to be touched, why not simply eliminate the problem by installing a removable cover to prevent someone like me from accidentally grabbing it & giving it a tug? Seems like a no-brainer to me.

I’m not sure what you’re referring too because we don’t own one yet, but we do have a reservation. I’m waiting for the dual-motor standard pack option because that’s all I need since we are both retired.
