  1. Software Update 2023.38 Release Notes ?

you aren’t even exaggerating with the Costco comment.
  2. Software Update 2023.38 Release Notes ?

Bed view is nice. There is also a setting to use bed camera for reverse if the tailgate is down. No Halloween mode yet.
  3. Regenerative braking - revisited

The brake regen was the first thing I noticed when test driving the truck. Now jumping in my Tesla after a few days and I forget how weak Tesla is comparatively. I like how Rivian has implemented it, personally.
  4. What do you store in this area?

Mine seems to be the crumb collector
  5. Software Update 2023.38 Release Notes ?

The problem with Tesla is that they don't actually document their changes properly. 2023.32 only had the following release note: "You can now choose Hebrew as your touchscreen language. To change the language, shift into Park, and go to Controls > Display > Touchscreen Language." However...
  6. R1T tailgate - sensor claims it’s open when shut

I had this same issue and have a shop visit scheduled for later this month, however it hasn’t happened again since 2023.34 installed. I’ve used the tailgate multiple times without issue. Also the strange sound it was making on the passenger side (three mechanical clicks and whirs) when...
  7. How often does kneel mode not work: same for easy entry/ exit?

Kneel also does not work in modes other than All Purpose and Conserve (IIRC).
  8. Tesla Created Secret Team to Suppress Thousands of Driving Range Complaints - Reuters Special Report

I really don't think it's that. It's short trips or undesirable conditions that cause it, and it's identical with ICE cars. I made 4 short trips with the R1T the last two days and I dropped 6% with less than 10 miles, but it's because they are extremely short trips. I get it. Same with a...
  9. Tesla Created Secret Team to Suppress Thousands of Driving Range Complaints - Reuters Special Report

I'll comment on this one because it's so true. I haven't seen an EV that can do it's stated range when talking about actually keeping up with traffic in the Detroit area.
  10. Tesla Created Secret Team to Suppress Thousands of Driving Range Complaints - Reuters Special Report

For me, I can get the stated range out of our Teslas or I can completely destroy a charge 40% quicker based on my driving. 60-65mph and the Teslas will, almost assuredly, hit their targets. Going closer to 80mph and it starts dropping like a rock. I will say that I am able to get way more...
  11. Got a Model 3 (Jun 2023 build) rental while my R1T in service…

These are all 100% accurate points. The R1T drives like a truck- throttle feels laggy (even though it's really not), suspension wallows in Sport mode, completely floats in other modes. I appreciate both driving dynamics.
  12. What do you want addressed in the next OTA update?

I am not going to claim to be perfect- I have missed a light change. In that same sense, there is absolutely no reason for BLIS either then, right? We all 100% see everything when changing lanes. The same thought process can be applied to most preventative safety systems. It's a nice-to-have...
  13. What do you want addressed in the next OTA update?

Someone had better tell Rivian in that case. Page 96 of the 2022.22.x manual has a header of "Select a Gear".
  14. What do you want addressed in the next OTA update?

As a Tesla owner and just taking delivery of an R1T, there are a lot of Tesla features that should be pretty easy to enable quickly. Windows up on lock (unless I am missing where this setting is) Addition of Work as a location where I can turn off gear guard, auto locking, etc. Cameras on turn...
