I have not. I called a week or so ago and they had no update or explanation as to even what the problem is. My understanding is OTA is completely on hold.
Electrafi website shows only like 1% of users that haven’t gotten the new version.
Looking at Electrafi - it seems 98+% of their users (which represent everything from the newest vehicles to low-VIN Launch Editions and some that I think must be Rivian test-mules or employee vehicles) are on 2024.27.xx or newer.
This leaves less than 2% that are stuck on the old version for...
That is so odd - mine was 99% the same script AND the same with the double-introduction (different rep). I wonder if it’s really an AI generated outbound message? Too much of a coincidence. LOL.
No specifics. Said they’re working on a resolution ??‍♂️ I got a VM from them and when I called back they just said someone will call me. I’m 18xx VIN
Anyone else get a call that their vehicle has a hold against pushing the latest update? I have an early Gen 1 R1S that they say has a VIN hold from getting the latest update and not to worry as they’re working to extend the Connect+ trial commensurate with whenever I’m actually getting the new...
Just thought to check the forum for this today. I had my R1S in for service and brought this up. Sounds like driver front suspension on mine … just like a bad/loose strut mount. Tech drove it with me and claimed it was normal but would check everything when he did the other work. Still there … ??‍♂️
Just noticed this today (day 6?) … the climate controls are greyed out if the vehicle is plugged in to the charger … in the winter that’s exactly when I want to be able to turn it on ??‍♂️
The checksum is in position 9 of the VIN - it's set based on the value of the 10th - 17th position (year, plant and then 6 digits for serial place in production for that model/config).
There could be a 3500th R1T LE and a 3500th R1S and even a 3500th R1T with dual-motor (not the LE Quad Motor)...
My El Cap/BM, LE R1S w 22” went from Jun/Jul to Oct-Dec …
I find the 2 reasons given sort of suspect. 1 - What combination would be “easier”?
2 - My local service center is delivering R1T 5 hours away already, I’m and hour and a half.
This is getting ridiculous … “if you think you know, it may or may not be the same, you’ll have to wait to find out, maybe … and if you never knew, welcome to the club, we can’t tell you either”.
I get that it’s hard, but all the more reason they need a little more competence in their PR and CX...
Yeah, there’s a post on this. Other digits will also be different for R1S, EDV or other differences like quad vs dual motor, so the last digits could repeat on other models (for instance there will be a 000001 for both the LE T and LE S, and there will be a 000001 for the first dual motor...
Just to throw out another scenario - I’m a Dec 2019 R1S LE preorder. I’m supposedly a June/July delivery (although I hadn’t had any guide contact). I got the same email on Monday and interestingly my account now showed a guide (which wasn’t there Sunday and hasn’t reached out yet) ??‍♂️ maybe...
.. except that there have to be a ton of R1S LE preorder that had already requested any combination they could have available, or an LE order-holder that was willing to switch before they’d get further down on the list to soliciting a change from a non-LE … congrats if some stars and moons...
I don’t mean to be “that” guy, but in my experience “bricked” was always a term reserved for a situation where an electronic device was permanently disabled (usually due to a failed firmware update that could not be restarted and finished). Sometimes these could be repaired by replacing some...
Coolant is probably shared by the battery, motors, electronics and interior heater-core is probably like a G-48 ethylene-glycol (used in Tesla and a lot of modern ICE vehicles) and is sold under a bunch of brands.
Drive units are probably something like ATF fluid since there’s no differential...
I don’t think an MSDS is required for a completed product (like a car). It would be required for a specific chemical that is in the car. For instance if you know the product name of the coolant or the gear oil and who makes them, each of those would have an MSDS. If you knew the right person who...
