  4. Current Rivian owners - What’s one change that would make you happier?

disagree. when the 12V is failing the vehicle could switch to HV12v, Yes this is new hardware element but not rocket sci. Warning to repair 12v would be displayed.
  5. Current Rivian owners - What’s one change that would make you happier?

My vent. Ability to proactively determine 12V health and self replace. Not even asking for a 12V from the HV battery emulating an ICE alternator as they should have designed to begin with!
  6. 12 Volt battery needed to change.

i totally concur. ICE much, much more benign. They didn't have to do it this way. The big battery could furnish an "alternator" output but always on/ The 12v battery would be backup for emergency lights. Fed law, i think. I dream on. People just don't entiendo!
  7. The third row heating doesn't work.

Just an idea. In extreme conditions plug an electric blanket? 110V:like:

My 2yr old R1S 12/14/22 with 27K, very similar experience. No problems but had the recall for BU lites. My 22 pirellis were pretty bare at 22k. Put Mich defenders(115) then. Love em.
  10. Rear ended by a Jeep Wagoneer

My R1S was rear ended similarly. Driveable no sensor faults. Other insurance Co took full responsibility, Two weeks for faultless repair. 13K. I pestered them on diminished value, Got 7K, doubt my pestering was needed but who knows?
  11. R1T bricked in my driveway

For all you apologist for the pisspoor 12V design(mobile service fixed it) it will be 800$ after 36K. I love my R1S but RJ is tone deaf or something, My rant over., bring on yours,

  13. The Truth About Reliability

If an ICE 12V dies you jump it then the alternator lets you drive to parts store for easy install of fresh battery. No tow/turtle. No Comparison. My primary RIV complaint. It doesn't have to be this way.
  14. Rivian reliability is a problem

just a solitary input without analysis. 2 yr 24K R1S trouble free. I was included in CR survey. So they heard from one satisfied owner at least.:D
  15. Rear-Ended: Looking for Rivian-Certified Recommendation

As a side note. My R1S was rear ended a few months back. State Farm sent me to a Riv certified repair shop(Chilton Autobody) who did impeccable work/ The bill to the other insurance co was north of 13K. Additionally, I got half that amount for diminished value(checks in the mail:):( .) San Jose...
