the one I really like is made by Schumacher. I also have a Noco Genius 10 that can repair/desulfate but I feel that the Schumacher works better and has brought back/revived some of my old lead acid batteries
I’m the owner of a ‘22 R1T with about 55k miles on it. Still on the original pair of batteries but I suspect sometime soon it’ll need a new set (from everything I’ve read). I keep my Gear Guard and proximity unlock turned off at home in an effort to ease the load on my 12v batteries (so far it...
It almost never works like that; I’d say *maybe* at most 30% of reservations actually come to fruition. Maybe. So many people drop out (for example, Cybertruck, and Hummer, and Lightning). Other new cars come out, people lose their jobs, the timing ends up being wrong etc. I’d bet that if...
‘22 R1T, approaching 55k miles, still on its original batteries. Mine lives outside year round in the extreme cold and summer heat. I do have Gear Guard disabled at home. Just another data point.
This was fall ‘24 in my ‘22 R1T Quad on 21s; 74% SOC, about 400ish lbs of computer gear/parts in the frunk and gear tunnel at Cecil County Dragway. I just floored the accelerator (no left foot braking) when the third yellow light was starting to go out. Super easy peasy to drive. I had it in...
Hello there - I am the same experience so far as you - mine is a ‘22 R1T VIN 8xxx with about 54k miles and I am still on my original batteries. Just FYI
Hello! I typically would have gotten 2.4 or 2.5 mi/kwhr if it were say 60-80F ambient temp on that same commuting day doing the same mileage and stops and whatnot. I’m real happy with the efficiency of this mid size truck (I’m an IT specialist and make house calls and typically my truck is...
hi there. Mine is a ‘22 R1T Quad on ‘21s;
It’s been in the deep freeze here for over a week now (can’t wait for this cold spell to ease up - when I left in the morning on this day it was 7 F outside and when I got back home at night it was 5F. The high during the day it got up to 18F). I had...
Isopropyl rubbing alcohol 91% is the best for tree sap (I live in a pine forest). It takes the sap off right away. But as soon as you wipe it off, you should wash the truck (and then I use a ceramic spray sealant on the paint to further protect it; I really like the Turtle Wax Graphene...
I’d say you hit the nail on the head; I bet that a sleeping R1 is using close to 1 amp and that’s why it never indicates green (but your vampire drain is negated).
as was said, I’d be very curious to know if a 2amp was sufficient to catch up and indicate green overnight
(mine is a ‘22 R1T...
hi. I always run the truck in High Regen (I really like the one pedal driving on all EVs that I drive). When it’s this cold, I’ve noticed that the battery temp climbs approximately 1 deg F for about every 7-8 miles driven (at least in my truck it does)
My ‘22 R1T seems to do fine in the cold too (right now as I write this it’s 6F outside, and truck lives outside; see previous posts I’ve made about cold efficiency recently). But where I live it never really gets much colder than low single digits F and it rarely does that even. But -33F...
Oh, forgot to mention that there was near zero Regen for the first half of the day until the battery got over 30F. The first couple of client stops you can see the average efficiency in the 1.6x range but it keeps climbing throughout the day as the battery slowly warms up ending up at a final...
Following my post of last week, today was very cold and windy with 3” of snow last night. As requested I took pics this time from start and throughout my commute. The truck was dead cold when I left in the morning (hadn’t been driven or plugged in for 2 days) and I stopped throughout the day...
it seems to take a little time to really start warming up (reminds me of my ICE cars in cold weather) but it is very comfy after a little while with the cabin set to 70 (vents on floor and front of dashboard) and with the heated seats on 2 and the steering wheel heat on.
I guess I should add that here where I live (Wilmington DE area) we don’t have big elevation or mountain passes! We are flat with small hills (I doubt my total elevation climb and fall over the 93 miles was more than a few hundred feet)
