Glad it's direct now, Rivian did mention they were in process of moving over from reimbursement few month back when I filed a claim. I didn't mind Assurant paying me 1st, got some cash back from CC.
Pricing will vary greatly based on term of the service contract and how much overlap with existing manufacture's warranty (I've seen posted quotes from 2kish upwards of 9k). Mine was for 4 years (coverage until late 2029, unlimited miles, zero deductibles) at $4800. Currently paying under 24...
Very limited information since program is still in pilot and even buyers of such plans, many haven't reached original warranty expiration (esp for G1 quad 4/60K).
I was able to purchase Rivian Care back in late 2025 as R1S was nearing 50K miles (2 years of ownership). Close to 61K when I had a thermal fault/AC not working issue.
Service center 1st determined it was due to a faulty active grille shutter. Upon further inspection, tech also found both...
I've owned basically every Ecoflow power station above 1kWh including the 30kWh Ultras and pass through limiting has always been an issue if using it as UPS/EPS mode. Surprisingly, the only power station that can actually limit pass through is a Gendome Home 3000. You can set charge watt...
Plus it's based on years and not mileage (up to 200k limit). I've put up almost 50k in 2 years and 90% of that are road trip miles. Will be signing up this weekend.
Anyone gotten the Rivian Care sign up emails?
Looks like it's available in a few states
My 2023 with almost 50K miles comes out to be these prices for the vehicle service contract
2Y - 2200
3Y - 3500
4Y - 4700
5Y - 6500
6Y - 8800
7Y - 10900
Payments spread over 24 months same price as full...
I usually decline loaners and just get an Uber ride back home, but last time I was at the Houston SC, they had Enterprise loaners on site (MBs, BMW evs, and even Maseratis).
I'm on my 2nd half shaft replacement (3 if counting original) in 45K miles.
1st service trip was for washers
2nd was half shaft replacement
3rd was half shafts, hubs, and upper control arms.
I have a feeling there will be a 4th visit prior to 5/60 warranty expiration.
B4000 is at that perfect weight/wh ratio. Big enough to potentially run high loads if needed but not backbreaking like the 100lb Delta Pro.
The R1S served as home backup during the July hurricane outage and I just wanted another 2ndary energy source. Don't really need whole house power, just...
Not need in that direction. You are simply using "any" pure sine inverter (1500w in this case) to recharge the DU. The other way from power station to charge an EV may require the grounding plug.
I've done over (16,000)kWhs at EA and majority of time, it's been smooth and error free (95%). Outside of the cities, EA has been flawless. Inside major metro centers, it is very hit and miss. Of late, it's not a EA issue, but one where all spots are taken up by slow a.. Bolts and charging to...
