I tried out stiff suspension today for the first time and felt my R1S pulling to the right.
Flipped it back and forth a few times, and noticed alignment feels perfect on soft but pulls to the right on stiff.
Has anyone had experience with alignment issues that only appear on changing suspension...
Got the R1S back today. Battery pack was replaced. They found an internal fault in module 5 of the pack. Service was unsure what caused it. It took the "engineering team" a few days to approve a replacement pack. They ordered a new pack by freight, which took about a week to arrive. Then another...
Thanks for the update - my advisor suspects the entire battery unit will need to be replaced, but they are waiting for the engineering team to review the issue. They need that before they can order a new pack, which is only delivered via freight.
I have a feeling I'm looking at a 3+ week wait...
I picked up last week from the Denver SC and had two guides show me the vehicle. One very knowledgeable person and one in training.
I bet you got a newbie.
Enjoy the vehicle! Hopefully you don’t need to send it right back to the shop for battery issues like we did?
I don't know what "mine's a CY" means ?
No I didn't try DC/level 3 charging yet, just the 14-50 outlet I have in my garage. Right now the advisor told me it's not safe to drive, so ima let it chill until the scheduled tow in a few days.
I forgot to mention this to the service advisors, but the vehicle got really hot while charging too. Like noticeably hot (interior cabin +8F from the garage) and feeling heat in the hood area.
I own a Model Y and Leaf and never noticed heat coming from them while charging.
Oh dang! Maybe the batch.
The battery depleted messaged came for me a little after all the rest of the errors, after I fiddled around with different chargers and driving a bit. It went away after a vehicle restart, but then came back making me think it's a safety mechanism.
My R1S vin is 202xx
I'm on day 8 of owning an R1S in Denver and unable to drive the vehicle due to error "Battery depleted - Charge up and try again"
The vehicle is reporting 71% battery level (200 mi).
After doing a full vehicle reset, I was able to shift into Drive. But trying again after a couple hours I got...
Thanks for the thought. People seem to be leaning towards the battery powered options, but if you have a recommendation similar to the Viair 400P that could be plugged into the 120V 1500W outlet I'd be interested. But I'm worried the circuit may be the same that the onboard compressor uses...
The first issue was the hose connector wouldn't "clip" into the valve. I realized the panel was loose already, and thought maybe the panel was installed too far forward and not allowing the hose enough space to latch onto.
I pulled the panel off and the hose clipped in securely and easily...
My onboard air compressor for filling tires is broken. It failed on the fourth tire after airing back up from a trail journey 3 days after delivery.
My service appointment to fix isn't for a few weeks, and I'd like to have a compressor while I wait on the fix (plus have a backup on hand in case...
