  1. Great Discount Tire Experience

Have had two free tire rotations at DT North Chesterfield VA. Excellent service. The team looks like an F1 pit crew. Beautiful coordination and technique. Doesn't get any better.
  2. R2 Jack Point Design - Potential Issues / Challenges

Maybe the hired the team from Apple responsible for power and accessory connector choice.
  3. R1 Headrest Removal Appreciation Post

Thanks for the kind words James. Glad the tool has saved you some grief. I've actually given a couple to the techs at the Richmond VA Service Center. They just grin when they see it work.
  4. Suggestions for quality cargo net for R1S

Glad they did what you wanted. I haven't added these to my little webshop yet but if anyone needs/wants a set DM me. Also, if someone wants the .stl files DM me. I'll post them on printables next week along with a list of the necessary hardware. Meanwhile, here's how the 'extensions' go together.
  5. Suggestions for quality cargo net for R1S

Sure. I think I'll probably put this 'product' on my little webshop (raylepper.com) where I offer free file downloads and sell the little Rivian things I've designed. Meanwhile, DM me and I'll fix you up with a price and a venmo or paypal address to use.
  6. Suggestions for quality cargo net for R1S

I turned the pin on my little lathe. I think a plastic pin would break easily. The pin is 14mm dia and that size rod (in aluminum) is available from Amazon, McMaster and others. These parts were printed in PETG but I would print the final version in something like NylonX.
  7. Suggestions for quality cargo net for R1S

So it was a bit more involved but I think this is a nice solution. It requires a new metal pin to engage the cargo tie down. It probably ought to be steel but I did this quick one in aluminum. It'll work fine—it'll just wear over time. The 'extension' is 2" but it could be longer. I'd probably...
  8. Suggestions for quality cargo net for R1S

I got the cargo divider. The existing steel pin is not removable (despite removing the screws it seems to be held in place with an internal feature) But, I have a plan to make a 'lifting block.'How much higher do you want your cargo divider (in inches or mm, please)?
  9. Windshield Washer Fluid Odor in Cabin

I never thought I'd get so many replies that make such scents.
  10. Windshield Washer Fluid Odor in Cabin

I don't use the windshield washer much (garage kept, frequent hand wash) but the other day I did. Going about 35 mph, the spray barely came up only 3-5 inches on the windshield—like it was aimed too low. Then the smell from the fluid was quite noticeable in the cabin. The smell persisted for...
  11. Suggestions for quality cargo net for R1S

The stock cargo holddown has a spring loaded catch that engages with the pin. Without that function inserting another pin in the top of one my existing ones won't work. The cargo divider will just lift right out. I think a better answer is to fabricate a longer version of the pin on the cargo...
  12. Cargo Divider - new accessory from Rivian?

This 'divider' has been available as a Mopar item for several years. The pins on the ends of the vertical pieces plug into the hole in the top of the hold downs that slide on the tracks in the R1S cargo area. It will kind of work to hold say a suitcase or a box from sliding around but honestly...
  13. Great Experience at Richmond SC!

They've been really good both times I was in over the last two years (alignment; fix rattling dash/grille). Very happy.
  14. Anti-EV agenda

Spot on. Pretty much all the other developed countries are moving quickly toward EV adoption. As long as the oil industry holds sway over so much of our political landscape, we'll be behind.
  15. Width and thickness of Rivian crossbar?

Just guessing about M6. Once you have the basket you'll know. Pretty sure they are. The T bolts are for sure.
  16. Width and thickness of Rivian crossbar?

OK, I think this will work. You're going to need a way to cut down some M6 bolts but that's about the extent of the skills/capabilities for this idea. Watch the installation video (1:52-2:12) for the Tyger basket you're planning on. It shows the assembly of the upper half of the stock clamp...
  17. Width and thickness of Rivian crossbar?

Post a link to the basket you're looking at. Maybe we can come up with a work around that uses the bolts @FooF linked to.
