Not sure if this has been asked but any plans to have 70% for the rears? I was planning on 35% for the fronts and more interested in the heat rejection vs making it darker than it is for the rears on the R1S.
Looks like my current 2023 R1S limestone quad is getting totaled so I'm in the market for another. Vin 21XXX built in 8/23. What VIN range / built date would you search for to get that special blend of features. Don't want to spend $120k on a new Gen2 tri so searching for a used R1S.
I think...
Wife got T-boned with our son. Luckily nobody was hurt. The Megawatt sliders took most of the impact so I think it could have been much worst. No airbags were deployed. You guys think this is totaled or repairable? I've been completely happy with our gen 1 2023 R1S. Spec'd with under carriage...
My passenger side was the tricky one with the bolt. I figured i got lucky with the drivers side since i did that one first. Not sure if the sides differs slightly. I’m still impressed on how these were designed to use existing bolts with no additional hardware needed. Less bolts to corrode and fail.
Definitely wasn't needed but does give a cleaner look if you ever get run over by a Rivian. Easy cuts via a bandsaw. Both front and rear pieces were connected by original mounting points and screws. I gave the rear some extra clearance for debris to fall out. As for mounting, I decided to use...
Just take off panels, loosen some screws and mount sliders. No modification or additional screws/bolts are needed. Underside is partially exposed but non issue. I'm in process of cutting the original panels and fitting it back on just for aesthetics.
That’s plenty of time. I took 1.5 hours and I was going slow while talking to a few neighbors passing by. If you’re installing by yourself, I’d sit facing the car with the sliders on your lap and lift it up with your knees. Slide the front at a slight angle in first as theres two bolts to clear.
Ordered Megawatt sliders by @electruck4x4 last October, just got delivered yesterday and installed it the same day. The old sayings of "you get what you paid for" and "it's worth the wait" are completely true for these sliders. Hands down, the best sliders on the market. Quality of craftsmanship...
Probably the same structure as Ford Bluecruise. Ford charges $800 annual or $75 per month. I have it as a year trial in my F150 Limited. Definitely will not be paying extra for the option afterwards to Ford or Rivian.
What's everyone preference? I know Rivian sells the Fatcats and the OEM bars are made by Yakima. Both Thule and Yakima can be mounted via straps or t-slots. Some reviews mentioned the Yakima whistles and locking mechanism is prone to freezing. While the Fatcats are aesthetically rounder, Thule...
It's normal. Some have it, some don't. All depending on the grain and how easy it was to bend. I submitted a ticket and that what was told. It is not isolated to just FE. After some google image research, I noticed others having the same slit. Here's mine.
Just regular trim tools. Started from the top, the middle has some sort of spring that you have to push in to loosen. Don’t stick anything too deep as the curtain airbag (I think) is in pillar.
He put foam tape on various pins that snaps the frame into the dash. Basically creating more friction and a tighter fit. Nothing was done to the speakers.
