A quick little 3 night getaway to a NC state park an easy 75 mile drive from home. Listening to contemporary jazz on the (very useful and much derided) camp speaker. Will turn off in a bit to listen to the whip-o-wills. Campsite has a 30 and 50 amp service, charge the truck and run the camper...
Iām a June 2022 delivery with the original batteries. I asked a friend who works for a Rivian SC what advice he had, and he said the monitoring in the truck was good now, and it would notify meā¦fingers crossed!
Yeah, I think I saw you on Thursday near Food Lion. We were headed out of town to go to Northern VA to visit some of the grandkids. It was quite the trip, ran thru heavy snow from Emporia VA to Petersburg VA, but fortunately didn't stick to the road. I did have fun driving the Rivian in snow...
I am having a similar problem on my R1T 2022 vin 7xxx. I first noticed this on the previous software release 18.1 I think and itās still happening on 22.1. I thought this was related to my recent windshield replacement on 7/11 as Safelite could not do the calibration. But it seemed to work, but...
As a workaround until you get it fixed, try putting it in camp mode. I do this when Iām not at home (proximity turned off there) and am walking around the truck (like at friends or family, parked in the driveway, walking around).
I had a rock hit the windshield on my R1T (2022 launch edition) 3 weeks ago, leaving a silver dollar sized pockmark. I have Allstate insurance, and I followed the Allstate protocol which dictated a ārepairā rather than a replacement. Safelite came out and sealed it up but said it needed to be...
Just back from a week long camping trip with 2022 gen 1 R1T, followed by a long weekend visit to family. 1,074 miles. Stays at two NC State Parks with combo 50 amp (for truck) and 30 amp (for camper) service. 4 DCFC sessions, plus charging at family houses. We are pulling an an Aliner Expedition...
I had a blinker problem on 2022 gen 1 Launch Edition (this was a couple years ago). Got the rapid blink on the front passenger side. Mobile service tested all the voltages and replaced the whole passenger side headlight assembly, no problems sinceā¦
Replying to myself, coming back home today, on the first leg from 1,800 feet to about 200 feet, I got 1.70 miles per kWh with 180.3 miles and 106 kWh. So, I had about 40 miles (16%) left. Now, I stayed in the right lane on freeways at about 60 or 61 unless I needed to dodge traffic. 58 on 55 mph...
Aliner Expedition with the fixed queen bed. Weāve had the Aliner about two years (and the R1T Launch Edition almost 3 years) and done about a dozen trips, mostly 3-5 day trips in NC, SC, and VA. Rivian has chargers on the Blue Ridge Parkway which is empowering (especially when they used to be...
It shocks me how āentitledā folks are getting about this. Budget the time for charging, not bitching. Itās a common ecosystem, share and be a nice human. I have an R1T and a Bolt. Iāve charged the Bolt at EA stations on a 350 when that was what was open. Weāre on our second Bolt, this one is a...
I agree, I hope that (using the second streaming account that I already had) works out. I donāt mind paying for this. There has to be a business model. I just wanted to find some clarity on the way the Rivian client/Sirius offering worked, and thatās sure not forthcoming from the Sirius phone...
It seemed to recognize my second streaming account (which is a separate subscription from my other car and streaming account).
iām going to see what happens when the trial is up, but yeah, itās dishonest or at least disingenuous.
I have SXM in another car and have the bundled streaming and a second streaming add on plan. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with SXM and Iām more confused than ever. I thought the Rivian solution was just streaming like on your phone but built into the infotainment system, but I have a...
I have an official Rivian/Tesla adapter. I bought one of the 1st gen A2Z but never used it; A2Z is replacing the old with the new Typhoon free, but they are backlogged.
Stopped at the newly expanded Tesla charging station today in Halifax NC on I95. 60 charging stalls (wow!), new V4 stalls with the long cables so non-Teslas can charge without taking two spots. Lots of solar panels covering one of the rows of stalls. Iām sure there was a megapack there somewhere.
Iām very happy to see this happening (I live in Emerald Isle NC and have used the Richmond SC a few times). But I wonder how they are getting around the NC dealership protection laws? Frankly I was surprised that Rivian could sell in NC when I bought my R1T in 2022, and really didnāt believe it...
