Yes and no. I bought commaAI. Kept getting motor failure error. Had to take it in to SC. End of the day it’s an after market addition to the truck. An after market stereo or speakers is something and comma 3X is another. You’re depending totally on comma and if something goes wrong Rivian...

Very true. I think Rivian agreed that gen 1 was a POC model and used off the shelf products. So it was basically like an experiment and they didn’t plan on upgrading parts in further

Not really. It’s more like 2 new cameras and a harness. Everything else it uses the existing Rivian sensors.

Gen1 is getting closer to extinction like the dinosaurs. But for the price and warranty - Totally worth it!

I’m in AZ. $0 glass deductible Tinted R1S roof glass with xpel xr 20% and it’s perfectly dark. Paid about $300. Glass held up fine even in 115 degree heat since 2 years.
