Never did XPEL and just run w factory paint on my Gen1 R1T. I take it thru the carwash w brushes every wk and and the only paint dings are from the local chip sealed roads or parking lot door hits. The factory paint durability has been stellar x 3 yrs.
And now you know I have been on the forum for awhile - since the time compass yellow was still an order option. If you discover how you can update your username, let me know.
Thinking the same. But when I generate the paint code for compass yellow, it seems off from the brake calipers even though it matches the after market tow hook covers.
Agreed - hence my callsign Yellow R1T, which was terminated prior to spot in line. Had to settle for Canyon Red which still blows away all the sewer mud blended palette options in the R2 lineup.
21 inch. Using them on my R1T and we have 3 different tire options here. Engineers seem to think 21 inch is optimal or would not use it, and the price is right.
Now if R2X can arrive with a bright color option that is not blended with swamp mud like the current R2 palette, I might even buy two of them! I can wait 2 yrs; already waited longer than that for the Gen 1 R1T.
Good thing the R1T is such an amazing truck. If nothing appears from the Rivian Adventure Department (RAD) re: R2, then I will be shocked and disappointed. I do expect a TRIMAX at some point, but if not would then aim for an R2 with a better color option/special edition.
