Hey everyone -- thought I'd revive an older thread. I'm back with more (I think) harness issues. After solving my camera fault issues for months with the fuse tap, I did the latest Rivian software update (2026.15.0) with the Comma disconnected from the vehicle, but with the harness in place...
I adore my comma on my Gen 1, and would love to use it with my Gen 2 as well. Are we still waiting on a harness to be available for that to be possible? Universal hands free is nice, but I’ve already bought the comma hardware, and I’m not in a hurry to spend another $2500 to get the same...
The more I think of it, the more I think I'm suffering from the wake conflict issue. Is there a generally accepted option for a fuse tap with the standard comma harness?
Thanks guys! I already took the magnetic mount out of the equation. The USB connection from the harness is connected directly to a comma. I left them out, purely to attach the device to the windscreen.
I think the power option is the most promising. Whenever the truck sleeps for a prolonged...
The harness and/or the Comma device is really starting to drive me nuts. After re-seating all the connections, flashing the device, I managed to get ~300 miles of driving without the constant front sensor and front camera errors. I thought I was home free.
On the drive home (~4 days later)...
Hey friends,
After a few months of near flawless operation, I've run into a conistent issue where the Comma is seemingly affecting operation of the ADAS unit. A few minutes after engaging, the car complains that the front camera and sensors are unavailable. At first, they'd come back...
I have a harness installed in my R1S and R1T. I was moving the Comma between the two with a magnetic mount and it's been working GREAT. I'm trading my R1S for a Gen2 tomorrow, and I'm already anticipating missing Openpilot. I am very willing to be a guinea pig for a Gen2 port.
I'm selling a set of Ram wheels, painted black, in flawless condition. They are ready to go with Nokian Nordman winter tires (275x60x20). I used them for a single season to commute between Santa Barbara and Mammoth. Tons of life left.
I'd consider selling the wheels w/o the tires, too.
