Yes the new chargers (similar in shape) are taller , have a nicer screen, longer charge cable, a tap card reader, are designed to charge most or all EV brands. I have charged twice and they connected quickly.

The Joshua Tree RIVIAN Charging Station is up and running!! You can pull in and Charge as of yesterday afternoon. they are having a soft opening very soon, and I believe the grand opening is December 24. I believe the Chargers are on 24/7 . Not sure if the store is yet manned 24 hours a day...
