For those asking, you have no need for the vin number. I have the vin number, Rivian has the number, and of course, the owner who bought the truck I was supposed to get. I am not giving it out as there is no need. And for the new owners privacy.
My first guide went on daddy leave. My 2nd guide lasted a matter of days before taking a different job. I am on my 3rd guide, and a team leader because of this situation. I bitched on here, and on Twitter. I have documentation to back every thing up. And they admitted to me they screwed up.
Wow! Our stories are identical except I have never received the promised replacement. A team leader did email me yesterday admitting the delay was unacceptable. So we will see. Meanwhile looking at Lightnings here local I could buy today. Very tempting.
Agreed with your analogies. I'm just frustrated that they (Rivian) won't say anything. My post is about frustration, and venting, and to see if anyone else has experienced an issue similar to mine. And yes, back in line. Maybe. Options are the Ford, or get a loaded Dodge. ?
I wish I knew the answers. And, mad posting. The carfax report says sold and titled in Florida. Nothing about salvage, etc. All I can say I was supposedly getting a truck, and then I wasn't. With a lot of promises.
After a long wait, I was finally given vehicle delivery information, a vin number, etc, for a R1T delivery in mid September. I obtained financing, insurance, and came that close to selling my present pick up. So with delivery scheduled within days, I received a phone call (and email) from my...
I used to drive trucks with engine braking, and we turned it off in snow, as it would put the vehicle into a spin. Slippery road conditions as well. I wonder how much testing has been done with regenerative braking in snow, or skid pans. Will the reg braking put the vehicle into a spin.
We tried the adaptive cruise control on the turnpike here in Fla with the Lucid. People drive like morons and will pass you on the right, pulling into your lane, which causes the car to slow down. Over and over. Learning experience for sure.
I have a test drive scheduled for next week, with delivery the end of the month. I will see if I can undo years of driving, and stay on one pedal. That will be the challenge.
Posing this experience out there. We have a R1T on order, and purchased (received) a Lucid Air last month. On our first long highway road trip (3 hours on the turnpike), passengers complained of the back and forth sensation from the regenerative braking, no matter how gently I tried to drive...
