I have been meaning all summer to get in here and pass on the following in case anyone hasn't heard:
Earlier in the summer, Chase refreshed their Chase Sapphire Card, and with the refresh, they included 3x points on EV Charging. I have been using it for our summer road trips, and it is...
That's cool. It's a little far east for us, usually go to marshall, but sometimes Rt 15th to haymarket (where I see they are putting in MORE Tesla ones). I might have to go there to just check them out though. We use that route to go to OBX/Richmond/destinations down I-95 although it is so close...
Yea, I had a great experience with them this summer, they were very fast. Now I that think about it, I think that one of them stopped charging one time, but I plugged it back in and it started up right away, it was a scorhing hot day though and I think I assumed I had done something to make it stop.
Wow, that is a lot. We found that as much as she took it still seems easier than when we were kids. For example, a TV, computer, monitor, CD player or DVD player, etc.... that is all a laptop and phone now. Everything is USB, LED, etc. She is in the dorm though so apartment living is definitely...
I did forget to give the Rivian Nav kudos on the Tesla chargers in Blacksburg. For years they have been Tesla only on the tesla site and on plugshare reviews. Then while driving by my wife noticed they showed up on the Rivian nav so we stopped and they were great! I wrote to plugshare and they...
So when I went to school at Tech (graduated 2001) I used to go from our home in Loudoun by way of Rt 7 to Winchester and then down. Lately I find myself going through the Marshall area more to I-66 because WInchester has some bad traffic these days and if I ever want it I have the RAN chargers...
Wow, the sticker looks cool, I hope they do that in Virginia.
For those wanted to transfer it, I would just stick it to a static film, like some parking permits are static cling, sort of plastic material you can take on and off?
LIke this...
Just thought I would drop in here and give some love to our R1S road trip to move my daughter in for her Freshman year at College. As predicted it was a great experience. The Rivian accepted all the gear with ease and we didn't even have to use the roof box thanks to the frunk handling our...
Just jumping on here to add one other thought. With the R1s, everyone kind of discovered that there was quite a bit of drain with the "checking" of the app. That is, you get in a cycle of worrying about the drain, so you then look at the app, and that causes more drain by waking up all the...
Haha it isn't made up. I didn't say these things CAN'T be repaired or even repaired for a reasonable amount of money. However the insurance companies are not willing to pay for those repairs, the likely unseen damage that needs to be repaired, and the MANAGEMENT of dealing with those repairs...
Some quick answers based on my documents. I did get an assist from AI to summarize instead of me copying and pasting from the doc directly....
Is there an aggregate payout limit on the contract? Yes. Under Section VIII. General Provisions, sub-section #4 (Limit of Liability), the aggregate...
Yea, the second the airbags go it's over. Just the contamination of the interior from the airbags is enough.
I think that the problem here is the R2 probably made the damage look less severe than it was when you consider it was a hard enough hit to get the airbags out.
My kids are all teenagers now but we had two boosters and a car seat in the middle bench of our explorer and then three boosters in the R1S for years. Never were interested in giving up the cargo space of the third row. We eventually changed to one booster in the third row as the kids got bigger...
I think the comment above about the flooding of orders with the new colors is important. I'm in that situation. I am a minute 0 reservation with an R1S LE and I was invited to order maybe 4 days after they opened up early in the summer. We are pretty sure we want borealis and cloud for the...
Have people seen this on reddit? Sounds like 2 years on the repairs from Rivian? If so I feel like this is a lock for the Rivian Care. Of course, I don't see that in writing anywhere like the xcare promise...
I have said it on these forums in the past and to people that ask me about my R1S, range anxiety is a poor term that was adopted long ago. The correct term is "charging anxiety"
All these discussions about 100 miles of range one way or the other fade and will fade away as more charging and...
Yea, I agree it isn't ideal. As someone who had three power running board motors replaced on a 2003 Ford Explorer years ago which are about 2k per motor I can see this not being ideal at all.
