  1. Rivian R2 place in line

My '06 Volvo V70R has semi-active suspension and it's both a simple setup and tends to last long. Main issue is once the car gets old enough, will you be able to buy replacements for it since it's not going to be an off the shelf part.
  2. Updated and Improved OEM Rivian Sunshade (August 2025) -- Pictures and Brief Review

I only use Covercraft for my vehicles at this point. I have purchased several of them for various cars and couldn’t be happier with them. Construction is top quality and haven’t seen any issues with ones I’ve had for several years.
  3. List your Rivian (Enterprise) provided loaner car during service

Toyota Highlander, it was a top spec. However, I quickly noticed that the front suspension was screwed. Vibrated and dived during braking. Was then given a base model 4Runner.

Harbor Freight is even good enough for car manufacturers
  5. What do you park your Rivian next to?

What if we park something IN the Rivian?
  6. Dear Rivian Engineers who worked on the Air Conditioning

I can't agree here. I have had several vehicles that have electric variable compressors and have never heard them running inside the cab. The Rivians placement, and most likely mounting system, is where they went wrong. Not only is it an annoying sound as it speeds up, but the vibration in the...
  7. R2 photo from RJ: "R2 battery, propulsion and chassis in marriage fixture before assembly to the body in our CA pilot line."

Hopefully they relocated the A/C compressor with how loud it currently is, plus how it vibrates the pedals.
  8. R2S GPT Renders

The rear brake light / running light bar looks like a scaled down version of a Dodge Durangos.
  9. 2 Year Anniversary R1S quick summary

It's not far off from my 99 Suburban. It's shorter but interior wise it feels about as roomy but maybe not as wide inside. I agree that putting it up against a van does not compare. Plus the sliding doors give you a perspective that it has more room with how long they open.
  10. Trip Millage higer than Odometer

All is factory but being that the wheel speed generates the readings for both, they should be equal. If there was a discrepancy, they both should be wrong. It doesn't bother me, unless for some reason there is an increased drift. Just found it interesting.
  11. Trip Millage higer than Odometer

Was looking at my total mileage and noticed my trip is higher than the Odometer. Wonder if there was some type of reset at the factory.
  12. Ugh, Grandma smells! How to eliminate / clean urine smell?

Probably isnt as easy as plug in a new one lol. They had to swap out my drivers seat and they almost had to replace the steering wheel. The tech mentioned they were struggling to get them to communicate and sync with each other and a new wheel may need to be installed. Automotive future
  13. Turn Signal Sound

Yeah and it’s what bugs me, not the sound itself.
  14. Trip from San Francisco bay area to Indio, CA

Oh for sure. I have already planned it out and was not doing this many stops. I have just seen a few posts now from NorCal to SoCal so it seems to be consistent results.
  15. Trip from San Francisco bay area to Indio, CA

I’m making a trip from Sacramento to Long Beach and back at the beginning of Feb. looking forward to it from these posts. we are also looking at doing one from Sac to Seattle and back in March.
  16. Less than stellar delivery experience at Costa Mesa

I’ve never purchased a vehicle where they didn’t take it and detail it before they handed it back to me to drive off in. I can understand if you get some dirt on the floor mats if you are getting it. Otherwise, it should be clean, especially at this price.
