same problem here. My racks worked perfectly on my R1T though when I took them off to put on my new R1S no luck and I did try all 3 mounting points on the roof
I just picked up my new R1S yesterday I had sold my R1T and took off the cross bars, which I installed them myself and took 2 minutes no issues.
On my R1S I am having the same issue one side will not latch down, doesn't matter how much pressure I push down. I tried it on all the rack mounting...
I had started a similar thread also and couple things I came to realize. I live in Utah and this winter has been very challenging wih very wet snow /slushy conditions. First and foremost we can’t defy physics the Rivian is much is so heavy vehicle so for me I was having all kinds of problems...
So I am trying to decide whether to spend $81k on a used 2023 LE with 12,000 miles on it or go for a new one similar equipped for $95K?
$14k is for sure a lot of money not sure which direction to go.

I know I know nothing can replace a dedicated snow tire
So I have been reading all the different posts about how the R1T handles in the snow and of course I understand number one thing is tire choice.
Where I live in Utah we get a lot of snow yet Utah does a very good job on keeping the roads clear, they put a ton of salt down Which is a good thing...
I highly this option is it perfect no though I tried two different iPhone holder solutions and this option is so much safer to use
Rivian really need to have better iPhone / Android integration into their software
Just installed my CarPlay display and it maybe took 10 minutes very easy for me I am for now using my under dash cigarette adapter which is working fine for me.
as I am an iPhone user this display is a game changer and more importantly a huge safety enhancer. I hope Rivian adds CarPlay support...
