Thanks! Looking at maps and satellite, it looks like it could work. The wrong car parked in the wrong spot and could be bad. :) It's unfortunate they have that one spot at the end of the row, and they didn't make it trailer capable.
4k trailer is about right with the horses, but from the picture, it will be a taller trailer, and I'm not sure how much the wind resistance with take away. If I say optimistically, 1.3mi/KwH, I have the max pack so that's ~140, I'm looking at about 160 mi using 85% (some on both ends)...
I've noticed the same (buried in large parking lots). A lot of times that means there is no pull through option. And the ones I've looked at didn't have a lot of good options.
I will be fine once I GET to Paso. The Tesla Supercharger works well for after I drop the trailer. And last time I was...
Thanks! This is all really helpful! I'm actually in Milpitas, but would be pulling from a little further north. It looks like those chargers are in the ~150 range, longer than I was initially thinking would be possible, but I'll have to do some real tests to figure out what my range would...
This is not really possible, given I will have horses in the trailer. You can pull them at night if it's an emergency, but it will really screw up everything. :)
I did look on plug share, which basically said there was no possible way for me to get there. ;) That route didn't have any pull through. It did have "trailer" capable chargers, but when I looked at pictures and reviews, it basically meant you are able to drop your trailer somewhere. *sigh*
I'm looking for advice and/or experience. I'm considering a trailer drive from ~San Jose, CA to Paso Robles, CA, hauling a trailer with my R1S Dual Max Gen 1. The trailer would have horses, which makes any trailer disconnects quite difficult/involved. So a number of the fast chargers that say...
I've never had a problem with the service center, once I can get in. My biggest beef with them is really about the lead time for appointments. So less about the service center, and more on the Rivian balance of service center investment vs deliveries. :)
Question, you refer a lot to "more", "less", etc. Which model are you comparing it to? Some of these I think may be differences in the quad/dual in gen 1, where they adjusted things based on their in house motors. I had drove a friend's quad truck (compared to my dual S), and noticed the...
Both so I can selectively access things (for car camping in particular) and also so the 4 foot tent/etc has somewhere to sit without creating a bridge and stress on it. :) the 4 foot things will lay across the back by resting on the 3rd row arm rests, but I didn't want the extra stress on the...
Off on a road trip adventure soon and wanted to better organize stuff. Across the top can sit 4 foot long things (tent, folding beds, etc), I have full access to the under floor cargo area, and I found bins that I can perfectly fit 3 of under the shelf, even with a little room behind them for...
I went on Thursday, and got a little bit of excitement. Some of my additional observations: (I was mainly focused on the R2)
- the tires on the R2 seemed really wide. I need to look and see if my R1S has the same width. :-/
- there did not appear to be a hitch panel, not sure if that is just a...
Given you're not asking about the back and you mentioned seats folding up I assume you're asking about the R1T? (Assuming correct, I can't help, I have the R1S.)
Interesting, I have the complete opposite. I always have auto wipers turned on, and I frequently can drive about a half a mile before it wipes the window on a clearly water covered window. I normally have to hit the button once after I get started to be able to see, but if I can see well enough...
A quick update on this thread. After the crack started spreading, they were able to get me in quickly. It went from May 7th to April 1st due to something opening up when I called about something else, to "tomorrow".
I'm glad they were able to fix this sooner, I just wish it didn't require so...
San Jose, CA area. I got a small chip/star from a rock or something. Overnight that small thing cracked almost the full height of the windshield and turned at the bottom for half way across the bottom. Luckily not in any driver line of sight, so probably not illegal.
Insurance (GEICO) went...
I haven't had a chance to troubleshoot it entirely, but I have 1 port and a splitter, and both cables from that will charge my phone (Pixel 7), and neither will charge my wife's phone (Pixel 5). I really can't explain why, but I intend to test it out with and without the splitter and also see...
Definitely not nitpicking. When in doubt, file a service request. That at least logs there is an issue. After that, you can decide if you want to take it in or not. I filed one on my first day with a door alignment. Then kept filing as I found other things, and there were just added to my...
I think this comes from the map, and I've found a lot of problems with the mapping. Sometimes missing speed limits, sometimes "broken" roads that it tries to rout me around, etc. I haven't found a good way to suggest edits to fix it, I have only been able to edit businesses in mapbox.
