Right, paying ~0.12/kWh, but this is western Washington which is pretty cheap. Although, I do agree with the OP, if you are tied to DC fast charging, the economics don’t look that great.

Trip went great, thanks for asking. Went to Leavenworth, out on I-90/US-97 and back on US-2. Loved one pedal driving coming back down the passes. Charging not really an issue with a little work. Stayed opposite the Tesla Superchargers, that would have been super easy if we had access to them...

I just love that I can pick up a six pack on the way to collecting the dog from day care and put it in the frunk. Thus both keeping a hazard free trunk for the dog and keeping 100% legal by not having an alcoholic beverage accessible sat in the rear footwell.

So this may be where my experience is different. I did not have store access prior to configuring, only afterwards once I had pulled the trigger. YMMV
