It is the same with mine there is a leak current to the lights. I think that is what is used to sense if a trailer is present. The light circuit is not turned on because I think it sense resistance and Led lights have a low resistance. I simply added my test lamp between the Led light and the...
It's plugged in all the way. I have park lights but nothing else. It works when I add resistance to the light circuit. The lights work on every other vehicle I tested it on including my wifes Model Y. It is a Rivian build problem. I plan using the trailer frequently and plan on adding resistance...
It was plugged in correctly I do trailers all the time. There were two of us me and the driver of the Silverado. The same adapter worked on the Silverado just fine. It is a build issue on the Rivian.
It depends on the resistance of the lights. Led lights have low resistance if the manufacturer added a resistor inline it will negate the problem but not all do.
Well there is only one trailer I care about lights working and it is the one I have to tow right. No other trailer matters at that point. So if the lights work on the truck I get the trailer from it is not the trailer, right? The park lights work so there are connection between the adapter and...
I tried three different adapters. As soon as I added more resistance the lights worked. With the park lights working which have 4 lights but the rest does not work also tells something.
So it depends on the lights and their resistance. Some Led lights have more resistance added. I tried three different adapters. Sorry I did not mention it in the post. As I said as soon as I added more resistance the lights worked fine.
Met my Silverado to swap trailers on the road today. When I connect the trailer Rivian the trailer lights it did not work. Switched it back to the Silverado and it works. Even checked the 7way to 4 connector on the Silverado. The lights always work but on the Rivian it doesn't. So I call support...
I did not test anything. I simply stated what was on the screen to see if it is wat others experience. If it is common I would not bug Rivian. Now I am a bad engineer on top of it. It is mind boggling. Please don't try to explain it is weird. I would rather do without.
I just charged it for a trip to 100% and saw 285 miles. I will let Rivian take a look at it. I did not wanted to schedule service if 13% was a common degradation.
Wow I never used a forum to post anything about my Rivian I like the truck. I was just curious to see why my range is down so much, since I hardly ever charge to 100%.
I did not know it is illegal or something or that posts about range degradation expire or get out of range or something.
I don't...
