    Kona to Mauna Kea was -171 miles of range. Mauna Kea to Kona was +32 miles of range. Total would be 139 miles of range for the 136 mile round trip. Crazy. I don’t remember the battery percentages. …and making it to 12K on a bike is incredible!

    I don't remember seeing any warnings about region overload on the way down. Here's a short video from the front drive cam as we started down.

    I used “All Purpose” the whole way. Anything else would be overkill. I never touched the breaks on the way down until Saddle Road. I gained 30 miles of range over the 70 mile (and return to sea level) trip back to Kona. The R1T did an awesome job both climbing and descending. It was so much...
