Will Rivian ever give us accurate range estimates in poor efficiency situations?
Are you talking about the range on the dashboard battery indicator, the range at arrival using nav, or both? I've always found the former to be best case scanerio and the latter to be very accurate, and clearly taking consideration terrain, etc. Nevermind, you answered this but I missed it...- jtshaw

We've had great experiences road tripping up and down between Seattle and San Francisco as well as going across Washington and up into rural British Columbia. The charging in rural BC (west side of the Rockies) was slow, but we knew what we were getting into and the 50kW chargers they deployed... -

I did a couple test navigations and the Rivian app routes to Tesla chargers that don’t appear in general search. So I think the network is likely more effective than might initial appear. 🤞 -

I think in terms of area coverage more so then in terms of number of plugs. I'm a Tesla owner as well and I'm pretty familiar with the available chargers for me between San Francisco and Seattle and in the PacNW in general, for example. Very few of them show up in the map as usable w/ adapter... -

R1S new delivery...GPS not Normal...WIFI either. Is it just me?
The GPS not working isn't normal behavior. The in-car data stuff cannot use your phone for data either, so if it works it means cellular is working. -
My VIN assigned car was damaged before delivery
It didn't happen to me, but it has happened. At least one R1T got involved in an accident in the Seattle area pre-delivery (when it was on a flatbed in transit). This does happen to all automakers but it's hard to know if it is a big problem without having the data for how often. -
I guess Rivian is forwarding along purchasing info to third parties?
I get extended warranty calls for cars I haven't owned in 5-10 years... my bet is the DMV because I haven't even had loans on some of them.- jtshaw

Ingress step-in height?
Lowering the air suspension in park is what kneel mode does. I can measure it later, but if you don’t use kneel it’ll be drive mode dependent so there are multiple answers. My wife is 5’3” and has no complaints. My 4 and 6 year old do have a harder time than getting in our other cars but they...- jtshaw

Newest "Now You Know" Video focusing on 12v battery issues in Rivians
Both my 12v batteries read as low health and needed replacement. Rivian did it and they did it fast. It never interrupted our driving experience but it did prevent the OTA from applying.- jtshaw

The folks I know with R1S's in Washington, including myself, are late 2018 and early 2019 customers. (I've had mine for 2 weeks as a Day 1 pre-order). They are way behind on the R1S's but I'm not convinced anything sketchy is happening here. I also think we in Washington are currently suffering... -
2023 Model Year Confirmed on VIN#
My R1S shipped in late December with a low 2023 VIN. I picked it up last Saturday.
