I live in Nevada where Rivian says it can't be registered. I found out that probably the reason is because Nevada does not consider a demo vehicle as new if it has over 2500 miles on it and is over one model year old. I have noticed that occasionally a demo comes up that is 2023 and under 2500...
I really want to get a Rivian RT1 but for the road tire there is no alternative but one really expensive tire or get the AT 21' but lose a lot of range. Then they won't give you all the details about a lease unless you put down a $1000 non-refundable deposit. Insurance costs are all over the place.
If I was to lease I might be forced to buy the vehicle at the end of the lease since I have no idea what miles I might put on it. Right now I can see between 15,000 and 20,000. I'd want to know the residual before I put down a non-refundable deposit. The vehicle I want (on the ones available in...
I would get one of the Demos but unfortunately it says they can not be registered in Nevada. I am also considering lease. I wish they would give a breakdown of least costs including residual. I would probably put 17,000-20,000 miles per year so residual is important to me.
Can someone please give lease breakdown for the advertised cheapest lease (I think it is $559/mo or the standard+ at 601/mo)? What is the residual? Money factor?
Thanks
So it looks like 274 vs 328 miles with the quad motor. How much range would someone with the 20 inch AT recoup when going to 20 inch AS? Does the weight of the underbody protection hurt range?
Damn! I live in Nevada and would have been willing to pick up anywhere in US. I've been looking at a Demo Lightning out of state. Now I'm worried there could be some problem with registering it here in Nevada and still getting EV Tax Credit.
Try others like Carvana. They gave me $2000 more than Carmax for my EV-6. Did the paperwork in my garage where they handed me a check and took the car. Could not have been easier.
