Also, anyone else getting badgered by sales to trade in their Gen1 R1?
I wouldn't say badgered, just two offers by text message; one when a sales person knew that I was coming in for a tire rotation. I kept my last truck for 25 years, so I tell them to check back with me in 2048.
Nice job, Jose. I was prompted to watch your video on YouTube because my algorithm knows that I like to view Rivian videos, and I appreciated what you had to say. I'm driving a (late December) 2023 R1T with 36,000 miles.
I don't understand the desire to debate and analyze the probable cause here, or to lay blame with new technology. When the travel lane ahead of you is occupied by a vehicle moving in the proper direction, you have a responsibility to yield the right of way. It doesn't matter why the Rivian came...
The GM EV1 was released 12 years before the first Tesla. Nissan also developed a pre-Leaf EV in that period, but got cold feet. Tesla was the first to make a successful product, making other auto makers more confident in the EV market.
Yes, and the U.S. government is subsidizing efforts to expand the number of charging stations all across the country. Standardizing supply equipment is an incentive that is encouraging the auto makers to work together.
I've only driven my R1T since Dec 2023, but I've used four RAN stations in California. They were never free to me, but the cost of energy seems to be 60% less than EA stations.
