  1. Installed the new Pirelli Scorpion XTM today!

Where did you purchase these? I ordered some through discount tire and 2 days later they cancelled the order because they said these aren't available yet.
  2. R1S shifts to park when backing trailer

If your butt comes off the seat, it'll brake and shift into park. I haven't found any workaround for this other than to try to keep pressure on the seat while looking backwards or relying more on the high backup can that the truck has.
  3. Dual Motor R1T on a steep slippery boat ramp?

Picked up my truck 2 weeks ago.... Dual motor, max pack. Took the boat to the ramp today and took it up and down the steep slippery ramp about 20 times to get the ramp very wet. Zero issues! I stopped the boat at lots of places on the ramp. I did get maybe a second or two of slip on the way...
  4. Rivian accessory port adapters (to attach some custom 80/20 extruded aluminum accessories)

Anyone come up with a solution to this? I'd like to mount t-slot rails and don't want to spend $400 just for the clamps.
  5. Dual Motor R1T on a steep slippery boat ramp?

Thank you @R.I.P. Your input is far better than the sales folks at Rivian. They should hand you a commission for the sale :).
  6. Dual Motor R1T on a steep slippery boat ramp?

Good points. For reference, my Frontier has a 4.0L. I suspect DM power is significantly higher. WRT torque, I use 4WD but don't have to go into low for my use case. Based on everything I'm reading (most appreciated!!) I'm leading to DM w/street tires. I wish there were a way to test this...
  7. Dual Motor R1T on a steep slippery boat ramp?

I'm curious which tires are you running?
  8. Dual Motor R1T on a steep slippery boat ramp?

This ramp is fairly steep... Barely get the tires wet before the boat floats. By stay in front: Do you mean the rear end of the truck?
  9. Dual Motor R1T on a steep slippery boat ramp?

Thanks for the explanation @R.I.P. !! A few follow ups clarifications, please... I'm not a 4WD expert. My use case is mostly getting in and out of the boat ramps without damage to my truck, my boat, other boats, and the ramps LOL :). By side-camber, you mean is the ramp tilted left or right in...
  10. Dual Motor R1T on a steep slippery boat ramp?

Good questions. I'm hoping to hear from someone who has tried it. I've asked all the Rivian folks who have contacted me to complete my sale, and none can answer it, so I want to hear from someone with experience. Good question on tires; My truck has Michelin LTX M/S. I wonder how the stock 21"...
  11. Dual Motor R1T on a steep slippery boat ramp?

I'm presently driving a 4wd Frontier and pulling a Malibu 21' boat. Loaded, the boat + trailer is at the limit for the truck - around 6500 lbs. When pulling the boat out of a steep slippery boat ramp, I have to use 4WD. This truck doesn't have locking differentials. My question is: Will a dual...
  12. Boat Towing (20' 4000 lbs boat) - Like Butter

Are you guys dual-motor or quad? Any experience with dual motor pulling out on a steep wet ramp? I'm curious if a dual-motor will work as well as a 4wd truck (that doesn't have differential locking)?
