  1. Ford "PRICE WAR" drives RIVN under $10

This is newbie mistake by comparing P/E ratio without context. Nvidia is growing top line at over 200% with a significant growing segment of Gen AI. Teslaā€˜s most recent quarter was double digit decline with net profit falling even more.
  2. Ford "PRICE WAR" drives RIVN under $10

This sounds from a seasoned investor. As a R1s owner, I want the company to survive. However, I wouldn’t invest even a single share in it. Why? It is not sustainable that your flagship cars don’t even produce 15% gross margin. These cars are supposed to demand the highest margins. People like...
  3. Ford "PRICE WAR" drives RIVN under $10

I have warned people who bought more RIVN due to R2 announcement. When a company likely runs out of cash before even producing R2, profitability and slower cash burn rate are what actually matter. Why RIVN almost always drops more than TSLA? When the EV industrial is under over supply, Tesla...
  4. Ford "PRICE WAR" drives RIVN under $10

I hope you control your overall exposure after adding more. IMHO, when a potential takeover happen, the deal price will be likely lower than $8.
  5. Ford "PRICE WAR" drives RIVN under $10

If the stock is only driven by short term sentiment, the stock would be a penny stock by now. It is still above $9 because some long term hype is still there. I have seen tons of stocks falling below $1. Yet, their stubborn investors kept cheering for buying more during the falls. Not saying...
  6. R1S automatically parked during red light waits - how to disable?

This may be exactly the problem I have. I also have a pillow at the back of the seat to make my back support better. Have you found a solution to the situation for your wife?
  7. R1S automatically parked during red light waits - how to disable?

Thank you guys. I will flag the event when it happens ext time.
  8. R1S automatically parked during red light waits - how to disable?

Thanks for the feedback. I also suspect it is the seat sensor. I tweaked my seat pos a bit. So far, no more auto park.
  9. R1S automatically parked during red light waits - how to disable?

No, that isn’t the case. I never unbuckle my sear belt during driving.
  10. R1S automatically parked during red light waits - how to disable?

I don’t shift my seat at all during stops. I merely put my hands off the wheel and feet off the break or gas. The car somehow felt there was lack of activity, so automatically shifted it to park.
  11. Help me stay bullish

I find your point interesting. The outlook of Rivian isn’t good. For the best interest of its customers, it should try to raise as much money as possible.
  12. R1S automatically parked during red light waits - how to disable?

My R1S frequently shifted to park automatically during red light waits. The screen also show a message saying it is automatically parked. Sometimes, the auto park happened within 10 seconds of the wait. Does anyway else find this feature annoying? I have to shift it to drive again during the...
  13. R2 Reservations are open and it's FAST!

As a R1s owner, I decided not to reserve R2. Rivian won’t guarantee the price this time. The price will likely go up from $45k in 2 years.
  14. Rivian Layoff 10% Staff and Lowers Production Forecast for 2024

Precisely. The big problem is EV adoption has faced a road block after the easy targets are tapped in. That’s why all major EV makers including Tesla has warned about 2024. Meanwhile, GM and Ford didn’t give a bad guideline about their ICE forecast. ā€œHighā€ interest rate hurts both ICE and BEV...
  15. Rivian Layoff 10% Staff and Lowers Production Forecast for 2024

When I see people compared Rivian with the money losing Tesla in before 2020, they made a critical mistake. Tesla were gross margin positive with model S/X in even during its early years. For example, its GM was 27% in 2010 and 28% for 2014. In contrast, Rivian’s GM is still deep in the red...
  16. Rivian Layoff 10% Staff and Lowers Production Forecast for 2024

Clearly, R.J. implied they would need capital raises to fund R2 when he avoided to give a firm No when asked about the question. From my experience as a seasoned investor, they will likely do it when the stock pops after a potential gross margin breakeven quarter.
