You should read Rivian’s description of the feature. It says it will use wall power to maintain range if you precondition the cabin. As someone noted, technically that means it will charge the battery from the wall, not run wall power directly to the heater. So then the question is when does...

Thanks. Just trying to decide if preconditioning is worth the risk to shortening the life of the 12v battery. Seems like “electronics” shouldn’t be too much of a strain on the 12v.
