I need the size of the R1 to haul dogs. I like the size of the R2 for my wife, so we have one reserved. So yes, there is room for both. When we get the R2, I will drive it more than I drive our Mach e.
As someone already mentioned, the I95 corridor sucks, especially through SC. Having said that, there are Tesla Superchargers everywhere. If you need food and a restroom, too, try Buc-ee’s (you will pass several) but expect them to be crowded. They typically have both Tesla and...
I also don’t have any of these problems. My R1S is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I have three different garage doors programmed in three different states, and it works flawlessly every time.
Cranston Collision Center in RI is an authorized Rivian repair center. I know they do tires, but don’t know about wheel swaps. I used them for a windshield and was very impressed with their knowledge of Rivian.
I’m in Rhode Island. The Safelite folks here don’t have the calibration equipment, but there is a Rivian « authorized » repair center that did the replacement and calibration. They even transferred my barcode stickers. Cranston Collision Center. The owner told me they spent weeks...
I got this call yesterday. I told them that I had a busy schedule over the next few months and live four hours from a service center. One of my trips is to Naples next week, and they have scheduled a Mobil tech to meet me and perform the work. Pretty good customer service.
Apple car play does this to me, too. What seems to happen is that, as soon as you deviate from your route, like pulling into a Starbucks drive-through, it reverts to the original route. I get around it by selecting a mid point that would only work with the route I want to take.
Another perspective - I’ve never seen the inside or outside of a SC and never met a service tech. My R1S was flat bedded to me and I’ve had 17,000 trouble free miles. That may end tomorrow, who knows, but I love the vehicle and have a reservation for an R2.
Without reading all eight pages of this thread, I don’t see Trump following through with anything. There is too much EV manufacturing in red states for him to actually do what he says. My guess is he will say he loves EV’s now.
I agree with the OP. I’ve used CarPlay for years and prefer what Rivian has done. CarPlay is buggy, and it constantly fights between phones when others are in the car. I love having Tune In as a resident app so I don’t have to use it on my phone.
Some power companies, such as Duke Energy, are now paying people with battery storage to use their batteries on demand. My power bill in North Carolina went from $16.50 per month to -$33.00 per month (They will write me a check when the credit gets too big). The only stipulation is that...
I was at a RAN charger somewhere in Northern Virginia (I think) and a Kia pulled up next to me to charge. The driver was excited and said it was his first EV experience and he rented at the airport. Apparently, nobody talked to him about finding the right chargers and he didn’t know that...
Yes, , if you attempt to use the Tesla app, it will show a fault in the app, but the car will continue to charge because it is all going through the Rivian account.
Ask me how I know. I was twenty miles down the road before I figured out what was going on.
It really depends on your intended usage. I bought the max pack because it allows me to travel between two different houses, fully charged to 100% with solar, without stopping to charge. On other road trips where I only charge to 80% it’s less important, but not negligible.
Once you get to the Rivian charger in Daytona, it’s pretty clear sailing. If you can’t make it to the next Rivian charger in Savanna, there are several places to top up in between. From there, you’re on to Buc-ees in Florence, where there are some very nice Mercedes/Chargepoint chargers.
I can’t explain it, but all manufacturers do this. I had orders in for a Ford and a Lincoln, and it took six months to get them while they produced vehicles for the lot. I finally bought my Ford (Mach e) off the lot.
