@Steve A. mind sharing what you do for storage of the EXO when not in use? It's bulky right? Seems best to have a wall hanging solution in place to keep it off the floor.

@Steve A. How are you finding the Yakima EXO system since you last posted? I'm back to considering these, but I'm reading some online comments that due to its weight it makes the rear suspension drop/sag. How does the Rivian's suspension hold up in your use?

I have been waiting for a RTT that I like and this may be it! I do really want an awning as well though. Does anyone know if the Rivian branded awning they sell can be mounted on an R1S as well as this iKamper RTT? I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere. I even asked Rivian chat support...

I would say that article is pretty spot on, but the problem is unique to Tesla. Musk is a polarizing guy, his supporters have been enthusiastic adopters of their cars, but he's also putting a lot of people off with his antics, putting a hard ceiling on their addressable market.

I'm worried about the future of the company going the way of Fisker. Rivian's survival also looked at risk until the VW investment recently. EV market is consolidating and I don't know if Lucid will be around in 10 years.

I'm actually heading to Yosemite soon and wondering what if any rules there are to entry? It seems like it's for Rivians only but I am traveling with other families, will they be able to enjoy the amenities too while they wait for my rivian to get charged?

Just to give an update: after I filed a service request (with October booking) I called the Rivian service and they were able to get me in the next day since it was a roof glass issue and was unsafe to drive. The main glass repair I paid for since my son did headbutt it. For the rear roof glass...

It was super hot the last few days, wife insists that is a factor. Our glass roof near the tail gate also cracked, only noticed just now. It just cracked by itself I guess, due to the heat. I will try claim warranty for that one for sure.

I'm going to try and get Rivian service to look at it. Earliest appointment around here in San Jose is October ?. btw my son is nearly 3, cannot quite believe he managed to kill our roof like this ?. In some ways thankful that the roof is weak AF since it probably saved him from further injury.

Maybe a little late to the post, but I vote strong no. The moment Rivian allows something like Carplay into their car is the day they are relinquishing full control over their software. Their tech advantage is their bread and butter, their differentiating factor over legacy auto manufacturers...

Also considering RTT for the R1S and also leaning towards using the OEM cargo bars with a setup at home to hoist and store on the roof of the garage and just slot it in when needed. Nowhere near pulling the trigger yet but this is my plan so far, so watching these threads with great interest!

I see that OP’s kitchen is installed at the bottom level but in the vid that Steve shared the kitchen is placed at the top level, above the gear storage box which is at the bottom. Wondering if this solution would be possible/suitable for the R1S? I suspect the risk is it might be too tall to...

Interesting! I have been waiting for more details on the kitchen that Rivian announced at the same time as the R2 event. This looks similar. Question: Can this be used on a R1S? Can I open the tailgate after I have setup the kitchen?
