Is my math right that a fully optioned Launch edition is only $700 more then a fully optioned Preimium? Assuming stock wheels, black interior, and 2k paint.
Has there been any update on the LG factory in Arizona that will be supplying the R2 batteries? Are they planning to be the only supplier or is Rivian using another battery source until the plant is fully up and running?
If the LE is $55k or under I will be estatic. But my gut tells me it will be closer to 60k so that there is room to have the standard AWD around 55k, which is unfortunately the average price of vehicles these days.
At some point I would like to imagine they would make a dumbed down version of the R1 to allure more shoppers, but it really depends on the pricing of the R2 and how close they would be. R1 with just dual motor, no air suspension, no brembo brakes, smaller wheel package, etc for like 65k would...
If the Dual/Large is over 55k they aren’t going to sell squat. Without the tax incentives the math just isn’t there for the larger audience of car buyers.
Living in New England, I must say Acadia is just an amazing place to be. Didn’t think much of it until we got there and now I can’t wait to go back. Amazing hiking.
Last time I checked PDR starts at like $150 for the first ding and maybe $100-125 per ding after. Not really a “volume deal”, and I’m sure each place is different. But I’m talking door dings, not major work that may require half to a full day. And also depends on ease of access to the panel...
